Umbral is a seasonal retreat project.
Across the year, we host six intimate retreats in rural Portugal, each one aligned with a different moment of the season.
This is not a place for fixing or transforming.
It’s a space to arrive, to slow down, and to stay with what matters.
Retreats take place at LIMIAR, a living place rooted in land, time, and simplicity.

Num ano geralmente ocorrem apenas 12 luas cheias, mas a cada dois anos e meio acontece uma décima terceira, uma lua cheia não prevista pelas tradições populares e que, portanto, não tem nome oficial. Por esta razão a 13ª lua cheia do ano é chamada de “Lua Azul”.

A superlua azul de 31 de agosto (próxima quinta-feira) será um evento quase irrepetível e, portanto, absolutamente imperdível por dois motivos. A primeira é a considerável proximidade do nosso satélite com a Terra, 357.344 km contra uma distância mínima possível de 356.410 km, o que de fato fará dela uma Superlua, a maior e mais bela do ano. A segunda, que é o que lhe dará singularidade, será uma lua cheia, por assim dizer, inesperada pelo calendário lunar. Na verdade, este mês de agosto tem 5 fases lunares e consequentemente duas luas cheias.
