Al Halal Veterinary Clinic in Al Khor offers reduced spay and neuter for Stray Cats and will ear tip them.
This is the best way to manage numbers of unwanted kittens born.

Our compound has many cats who have lived here for years are health because they have been fixed and vaccinated and been responsible at keeping the number of strays (free roaming feral cats) down.

What has happened is the number of new residence have brought new unaltered pets and let them roam about.

If you don’t want to fix your pet don’t let them out.

If you don’t want to be real responsible pet owners then don’t burden your neighbors with the problem of fixing, feeding and being merciful to Allah’s creations.

Be aware, chemical poison is being sprayed. There was no notice of this action to be done. Housing said they received complaints of snakes and scorpions which is fine however, they could not identify the poison being used and without notifying residence of scheduled spraying puts us at risk as property on car park and door stops are being sprayed. They asked for access to my garden where I grow food, which I would not want contaminated. Housing will not stop the spraying so if you have items that you do not want sprayed remove them or as according to housing “IT IS YOUR CHOICE” to have your area sprayed.

Ramadan and Summer Holiday is fast approaching. That means the mass exodus of expats and residents will be fleeing the summer heat of Qatar. This will be my families 6th summer in Qatar and we know first hand the serious stress put on stray and abandon animals in the harsh climate. We do our best to provide food and water all year long, as well as, care for special cases as needed. This year I am on a mission to save more lives. For every new booked and paid deposit or paid in full client I will be able to have Cats neutered or spayed. At present, we have identified 5 possibly 6 Cats that we feel will be easily collected and healthy to alter and release with hopes to increase that number. I am also working on a watering station design using recycled materials and shaded cool locations where colonies are seen.
