Multiple long-term studies using UV-sensitive hairless mice—animals specifically chosen for their heightened susceptibility to UV-induced skin cancer—demonstrated no adverse effects from prolonged Far-UVC exposure.

Even when subjected to doses significantly exceeding established safety thresholds (23 mJ/cm²) for eight hours daily over extended periods, test subjects showed no increase in skin tumors, unusual growths, or tissue damage compared to unexposed control groups.

This consistent body of evidence suggests that filtered 222 nm Far-UVC light offers a promising solution for effective pathogen disinfection without compromising skin health, even with long-term use.
