It was on a grey day, I sat in the office of my therapist, telling her how miserable I felt.
I remember her asking me…”what would make you feel better?”
I didn’t blink and said “Sun, water, community”.
So I went home, opened my diary and thought of all the things I kept postponing. First, “being a surf girl”.
Three days later, I had an offer to teach yoga in Morocco. And after a 15 mins call, I had booked my flight.
The adrenaline kicked in. And sincerely I was kinda terrified. I have heard so many things about traveling through Morocco and I didn’t know what to expect.
So I took a leap of faith. A week later I flew in. Someone was waiting for me, and my adventure was about to begin. I got in the car praying that I’ll be taken to the right place.
Little that I know, I found my paradise.
I reached. And I think I’ll never forget that Big exhale.
The rooftop. The view of the ocean. The wind on my skin. People running on the beach.
For the next few days, I fell in love with that tiny village. The colours. The people. The warmth. The kindness.
Food that felt so healing. The excitement that came with attempting to catch my first waves. The thrill. Sharing yoga at sunset never felt more like poetry in motion.
And so, when the time to leave arrived. I felt renewed and full of gratitude. And I promised myself I’ll be back.
This year, I went back. The first week of the year. Revising all the places that I loved, and the local people that made me smile.
And that’s when I knew, that I’ll be back again soon.
But this time now alone, with you.
I made a promise to myself to share the magic of this place.
And so, it’s happening…”The big exhale”.
More details coming very soon.
