Where it all started?

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ด Back in 1997, a small group of medical students realised that Romania does not have a great congress dedicated to medical students and young doctors. Therefore, they took the matter in their own hands and created CNSTM- โ€œCongresul Naศ›ional pentru Studenศ›i si Tineri Mediciโ€/ โ€œThe National Congress for Medical Students and Young Doctorsโ€. Since 2004, CNSTM has been organized by SSMB ( The Medical Studentโ€™s Society of Bucharest), becoming in time an emblematic medical event that yearly gathered the greatest names of the Romanian medical elite.

๐ŸŒŽ After 2 decades of updating and reinventing itself, in 2017, the Congress dissolved the borders and created a long-lasting network over the whole world, becoming what is known today as the International Medical Studentsโ€™ Congress of Bucharest (IMSCB). Therefore, we are glad to receive registrations from each and every continent, bringing the medical community closer. At the same time, we feel thankful for the opportunity to put Romania on the global medical map, combining in our vast Scientific Programme excellent Romanian Professors and renowned international speakers.

๐ŸŽฅ The seventh edition of the International Medical Students' Congress of Bucharest will be held between the 6th and 10th of December 2023. With more than 100 individual scientific events, such as Keynote Lectures, Workshops, Conferences and Roundtables, we are proud to have become one of the biggest Medical Students' Congresses in Europe. Moreover, this year will mark the second edition of our Science Fair, a place that brings students and world-renowned researchers sharing ideas together.

Back in 1997, a small group of medical students decided that it was time for Romania to have a first great congress dedicated to medical students and young doctors, so they established CNSTM - (โ€œCongresul National pentru Studenti si Tineri Mediciโ€, The National Congress for Medical Students and Young Doctors).

Since 2004, CNSTM has been organized by SSMB (The Bucharest Medical Studentsโ€™ Society) and it has become in time an emblematic medical event that yearly gathers, besides high quality scientific works, the greatest names of the Romanian medical elite. The congressโ€™ 20th edition, which took place in December 2016, had a scientific program that consisted in 50 hands-on workshops and 20 conferences and gathered more than 800 participants. Beyond its scientific and social impact, the congress represents more than a celebration of the newest medical innovations - a tradition and a celebration of collegiality. December 2016 The great thing about CNSTM is that it has always remained student-focused, even though the experience it offers has constantly improved. We intend to keep it that way in our attempt to make CNSTM an international congress. After 20 successful editions, we felt the need to expand our horizons and make our Congress accessible worldwide. Therefore, CNSTM is now transitioning to the IMSC of Bucharest โ€“ the International Medical Studentsโ€™ Congress of Bucharest.
