Join the 6th session of the Breakfast with Clusters4health a networking and dialogue series bringing together Ukrainian organisations with health innovation networks across Europe.

This session will focus on strengthening research, development and innovation (RDI) capacity in Ukraine through a dual-use approach, where technologies, knowledge and infrastructures developed for healthcare and civil purposes can also enhance crisis preparedness, system resilience and strategic autonomy.

Clusterul IMAGO-MOL a participat, la invitația Coaliției Organizațiilor Pacienților cu Afecțiuni Cronice din România (COPAC), la Masa rotundă cu tema „Depistarea precoce a cancerului de sân ca strategie de reducere a incidenței formelor metastatice””, organizat ieri, 5 martie 2026, la Iași, în colaborare cu Societatea Națională de Oncologie Medicală din România, fiind găzduită de Primăria Municipiului Iași.

Evenimentul a reunit la aceeași masă reprezentanți ai autorităților locale și naționale, specialiști în oncologie și sănătate publică, manageri de spitale, medici ginecologi, medici de familie, psihologi, asistenți medicali comunitari și organizații nonguvernamentale, într-un demers comun de dialog și colaborare.

Discuțiile au evidențiat perspectivele complementare ale actorilor implicați în îngrijirea pacientelor cu cancer de sân: de la politici publice și mecanisme de decontare, la experiența clinică a specialiștilor în oncologie, rolul medicilor din prima linie în identificarea timpurie a bolii, importanța prevenției și a informării, precum și necesitatea suportului psihologic pentru pacientele care traversează această experiență.

Mulțumim Coaliției Organizațiilor Pacienților cu Afecțiuni Cronice din România (COPAC) pentru invitație și pentru inițiativa de a crea un spațiu real de dialog între autorități, medici, organizații de pacienți și alte părți interesate.

🧠 Cerebral tumors represent a major health challenge in North-East Romania 🇷🇴, where delayed diagnosis, limited access to specialized services, and fragmented patient data continue to impact outcomes.

At IMAGO-MOL Cluster, we are proud to coordinate the VELES Hub pilot initiative dedicated to addressing this challenge through digital innovation.

🎯 Our objective is to evaluate how an integrated regional repository for brain tumor patients can operate as a functional Health Data Space — enabling secure, interoperable, and structured data exchange across healthcare institutions.

Why is this important?

Many patients undergo diagnosis and treatment in multiple hospitals. However, their medical data does not always move seamlessly with them. This lack of interoperability complicates coordinated care and can delay critical clinical decisions.

Through this pilot, we are working to establish a secure regional data hub that integrates clinical, imaging, and histopathological information. This infrastructure will support both multidisciplinary patient care and advanced research initiatives.

For the research community, integrated datasets represent a strategic asset. Access to structured, large-scale medical data enables the development of machine learning models aimed at earlier tumor detection, improved classification accuracy, and optimized therapeutic strategies.

Better data enables better decisions — and ultimately, better patient outcomes.
