Scoliomachines joins the biggest event in Europe - Medica 21 fair in Dusseldorf, Germany. After corona virus lockdown we come back to international activity and are proud to present not only full range of equipment for orthopedic industry but also IT solutions for orthopedics.

To the attention of German colleagues and international customers we present 2 new apps developed by our company - one Scolio Scan that is available on appstore and designed to make 3D scan of patient's body and Scolio X-ray that can make the estimation of scoliosis curvature.

Also we are looking for the partners interested in co-operation for a distant production of individual orthopedic products with the use of CADCAM technology.

3D scanner

The 3D scanner is designed to take 3d measurements from patients for the manufacture of prosthetic and orthopedic products.

The 3D scanner is a lightweight, compact tool that fits onto an iPad tablet. The weight of the whole set is 450 grams. No cables are required in addition to the scanner, which gives you freedom and the ability to scan anywhere.

Due to the simplicity of the interface, a person working on a 3d scanner does not need special training. Captevia iPad app is used to create and save 3D scan files to iPad. The app is directly linked to the Rodin4D Neo software, so you can work with the scanned image right away. With Captevia, it is possible to send 3D files via email or Dropbox.

The oven is designed for heating plastic sheets, for vulcanizing HTV-silicones, and can also be used for baking products under vacuum (PréPgeg technology), for performing technological processes for polymerizing powder paints.

The oven has a double-leaf door with double viewing windows. Heating of the working chamber is provided by air circulation passing through the heating elements; there are valves in the working chamber for connecting vacuum hoses. Connection to a third-party vacuum system is provided. The working area is made of mirrored stainless steel sheets. The cabinet provides illumination of the working area that can be switched on from the operator panel. A software PID controller is used to set a multi-stage temperature and time control program.

High precision linear guides with automatic lubrication
Linear guides are designed for linear movement of units and parts of machine tools and various automated industrial complexes. All guides comply with international and European standards and are manufactured under continuous quality control - Smooth movement, quiet operation. The lubricator has a capillary lubricant distributor, thanks to which the lubricant is supplied in three directions and thus covers the rail and the rolling elements with the lubricant.

Description of machine operation

1. The spindle is in the home position to ensure smooth positioning of the workpiece
2. The operator in the working area of the machine sets and fixes the workpiece on the axis, and then sets the axis with the workpiece in the machine
3. The operator closes the door, selects the processing program
4. The safety loop is closed. The machine starts milling according to the selected program
5. After the end of the milling process, the spindle moves to its home position
6. The operator gains access to the working area of the machine and removes the finished product from the axis
7. The cycle repeats

In the event of an emergency stop or failure of the milling process, the program can be resumed from any point. Average processing time for one piece is 10 minutes.

LAMINATION VACUUM UNIT

The vacuum unit is used in the production of thin-walled sockets from cast resin or thermoplastic molding of polymers in the production of prostheses and orthoses.

The unit has two vacuum circuits with separate control with 6 sampling points. There are 3 taps at the sampling points to adjust the vacuum. All vacuum tapping points are equipped with filters.

The unit is equipped with two receivers inside. To collect condensate and moisture, the unit has a tank on each circuit with an alarm function and a warning signal when the tank is full, displayed on the touch screen. The vacuum parameters are controlled using a touch graphic screen.
