On Tuesday, a mother who recently delivered at Maternity came to express her gratitude to the team. The journey was tough due to several complications during pregnancy. She was grateful to the Team of Doctors, Nurses and Midwives as the family commended high quality healthcare they received from the team.

From in-utero blood transfusions to AI-powered ultrasound diagnostics and plans for fetal surgery, the country is taking bold steps to reduce maternal and infant mortality.

This Tuesday Kigali Chuk Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at received a significant boost with the arrival of a state-of-the-art Ultrasound machine- the GE Voluson Signature 20.

Equipped with high-resolution imaging and advanced AI technology, the machine enables precise 3D visualization for detecting fetal abnormalities. This cutting-edge equipment is the first of its kind in a Public hospital in Rwanda and only the second in the entire country.

The donation made by RSOG_ Rwanda ( Rwanda Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists) marks a major step forward in enhancing both medical education and healthcare service delivery to the Rwanda community and international Patients. This tool will not only support diagnostic accuracy but also contribute to training the next generation of healthcare professionals.

A team of two Oculoplastic ophtamologists and one Anesthesiologist from Heron Foundation this Monday, kick-started a 4-day Surgical Mission at CHUK. The team of Specialists are here to offer support to our local ophthalmology team, where at least 28 patients with Oculoplastic conditions will benefit from the partnership during the period.The Partnership has grown over the years, serving a number of less privileged Patients in and enabling expertise exchanges between Rwandan and foreign Specialists.
