In December, before travelling to the UK, we celebrated Christmas 🎄 in the Saudi desert 🏜️ with .

It was a magical festive experience for the whole family, with activities such as Christmas cookie decorating, sand boarding, camel rides and writing letters to Father Christmas. The highlight came at sunset, when Father Christmas arrived on a camel 🎅🏼🐪 and handed out presents 🎁 .

I loved the beautiful fusion of cultures. We ate a traditional Christmas meal that was cooked in a traditional saudi way. As night fell, we toasted marshmallows over the fire 🔥 stargazed 🤩, and let the children run free with new friends 🥰.

So happy that we get to be here at a time when Christmas is allowed to be celebrated 🎄.

Halloween in Riyadh 🎃👻

Demon hunters, witches, grumpy pumpkins and ALL the sweets 🍬🍭🍫.

I love Halloween because it’s for everyone 💕. Just for fun. No pressure, no deeper meaning… just costumes, games and kids living their best lives running around high on sugar 🤪.

It’s always interesting to see the changes in Saudi over the years. A few years ago you could barely find anything Halloween-related outside of compounds. Now there are decorations in shops and events all over the city.

This year we celebrated in our compound, in Boulevard City and at .sa

We definitely have enough sweets to last until next October… and Alfie has officially discovered sugar 😬🙈😂 help, there’s no going back now!

Sweet and salty memories of Sri Lanka 🇱🇰

Sri Lanka is one of our favourite places to travel as a family 💕. A land of lush nature 🏝️🐘⛰️ endless charm ✨ and kind souls 🥰.

This trip we slowed right down and spent a month soaking up the magic ✨ of the south coast 🌊.

Our South Coast Faves:
🌴 Galle – Culture, coffee ☕️ art 🖼️ and dreamy shopping 🛍️. Wander the historic fort 🏰 with an ice cream from and explore some of the loveliest art and clothes shops in Sri Lanka. We fell in love with tiny restaurant.
🌴 Unawatuna – Bali vibes and loads of vegan friendly 🌱 cafés. Visit for amazing food and energy 🎵. We also loved , who run the cutest kids’ book club on Saturday’s 📚. Bonus: Travel inland to for a wild and wonderful jungle waterpark 💦 adventure.
🌴 Mirissa – Whale watching 🐋 barefoot sunset dinners on the beach 🌅 and the beautiful Coconut Point 🥥 for sunrise. For a little extra adventure, visit the local snake 🐍 and crocodile 🐊 sanctuaries.
🌴 Dikwella – Family friendly beaches 🏝️ the lively Sunday market and swimming with wild turtles 😍🐢 at Turtle Point 🌊. We loved relaxing with a coconut 🥥 and coffee ☕️ on the lawn at , such a peaceful place to learn to surf.
🌴 Hiriketiya – A surfer’s dream 🏄🏼‍♀️. Chill at for incredible pizza 🍕 and Ibiza energy while watching the surfers dance with the waves 🌊. Don’t miss for the best poke bowls and for dreamy cocktails 🍹 at golden hour. If you are into wellness check out the gym 💪.
🌴 Yala – A beautiful, wild safari park where you might spot leopards 🐆, elephants 🐘 and more 🐃🐍🦇🐖🐒🐊. An unforgettable experience 🥰.

Where To Stay:
📍 Paradise Cove Villa (Nilwella) – We spent the majority of our time in this charming 6-bedroom beachfront villa 🏝️🏠. With a team of kind helpers, including a chef, an on-call nanny and even a sweet family dog 🐕 Bella 😍. Only 5 minutes from Hiriketiya and Blue Beach. It felt like such a cozy home away from home.

Ramadan Mubarak 🌙 ✨ from my favourite mosque 🕌 .

Al Rahma Mosque in Jeddah is nicknamed the floating mosque as it sits on stilts in the sea 🌊 making it look like it’s floating. We used to live 5 minutes from here so we visited often. Imagine hearing the call to prayer alongside the sound of waves lapping around you 🌊 🕌 whilst watching the sun setting into the sea 🌅. Such a peaceful place ☺️.

Two months of having two babies 💜.

Feeling twice as tired 🥱🥱 but also twice as happy 🥰🥰.

This is one of my favourite photos of us so far - snapped when Alfie was 2 weeks old, first thing in the morning after a night of newborn sleep (aka no-sleep!) 🤪😴. Poppy had just discovered that if she sticks her finger in Alfie’s mouth he will suck it 😂. It’s still her favourite thing to do whenever she gets the chance 🙈 poor boy 😂.
