We’ve always created—with our hands, our care, and our imagination—to express ourselves, connect, and play. Over time, creativity was overtaken by consumption and the promise of convenience. We were told our value comes from buying things, not making them. We let owning more stuff define us, rather than sharing. Does having more make us happy long-term, or is it just temporary?
ALTER invites you to alter your relationship with consumerism through creativity. How? By turning our waste into wonder! ✨
Bring your old, unworn, unloved synthetic clothing (polyester, nylon) that might otherwise end up in the trash, and let’s give it a new life. Instead of letting synthetic textiles pile up in landfills, we’ll repurpose them into art, décor, playful experiments, and resources for events, festivals and community spaces to encourage a zero-waste lifestyle. Every piece of fabric upcycled will infuse your energy into a collective masterpiece that speaks for change, inspiring others to rethink their impact on the world.
Science shows that being creative lowers stress, boosts mental clarity, and helps us find a deeper sense of purpose. We’re not just reducing waste—we’ll rediscover the joy of mindful creation and challenge consumerism together. Will you join us in this meaningful movement for positive change? 💚
