Being creative with how we enjoy our Hawker food (and still stay healthy!) 🇸🇬🥢

I’ve always believed that how we handle the small, daily things says a lot about how we approach everything else. 🧠✨

Today’s reflection was just about lunch for myself and two family members. We all love our Hawker staples, but they often come with a huge portion of rice—sometimes 80% to 90% of the packet.

While it's delicious, it’s a bit much for most of us if we want to follow the WHO "Quarter Plate" rule and stay productive for the afternoon. 🍚📉

Instead of just going with the "default," I’ve started thinking a bit more actively about how to make our meals work better for us:

• The 2-for-3 Strategy: I bought two packets of rice for the three of us. By redistributing the portions, everyone got a healthier amount of carbs, and we had zero rice wastage. 🤝⚖️

• The 12-Minute Workflow: I’m quite protective of my time, so I used high-quality, pre-marinated frozen chicken breasts. It skips the long defrosting and marinating process while still being a great protein source. 🍗⏱️

• Parallel Processing: While the air fryer ran for 12 minutes, I blanched some greens in 5. Total active time: Just 12 minutes! 🥦🔥

For me, this isn’t just about the meal itself. It’s about the habit of intentionality—not just accepting what’s handed to us, but designing a better way to use our time, our health, and our resources. 🎯
It’s these small, strategic shifts in our daily habits that eventually lead to much bigger results. 🚀

I know I’m not the only one who looks at daily routines through this lens. It’s always encouraging to know there are others out there looking for those small ways to stay intentional in the everyday. 😊🙌

The "Wealth Button" and the Frequency Shift 🧧

I’ve been keeping this tiny, plastic keychain on my desk. It has one button—来财—and when I press it, it chirps out 大展宏图.

It’s objectively flimsy. The battery won't last the year, and the plastic is far from "luxury." It’s a perfect reminder of how fast the landscape moves—much like how 小红书 was the gold mine for high-quality prospects last year, but has already pivoted its algorithm.

In business, the "hardware" and the platforms are always in flux. But I’ve learned that my job isn’t to fixate on the tools that might break or the apps that might change.

My ONLY 🤭🩷 job is to manage the energy.

I’m a firm believer in leveling up my own frequency so my team can stay at a high frequency. If I’m not anchored in "grand ambitions," I can’t expect them to be either.

For me, that frequency isn't just a mood—it's a discipline. It’s why daily journaling is such a core part of my manifestation journey and a pillar of what I teach in my workshops. It’s where we move past the noise and actually script the momentum we want to see in our businesses.

The keychain is just the fun, joyful echo of the internal work. One is a fleeting spark; the other is the fire that actually sustains the growth.

I’ll keep riding the waves of the current algorithm and enjoying the music while the battery lasts—knowing that when your internal frequency is set, the external "wealth" always finds its way in. 🖋️✨

Change is the only constant. How are you anchoring your energy today?

Proactive Moms: Making Health a Habit, Not a Hurdle! 👟✨

It was so refreshing to spend quality time with a good friend today. We both noticed we were wearing our HPB trackers—a clear sign that we are both staying proactive and intentional about our health! ⌚

Lately, I have been sharing my daily routine of jogging on the spot at home for 60 minutes at 180 bpm. While some might think a daily hour is a lot, I actually find it easy—and that is the secret to my consistency. My main message to the world is that exercise doesn't have to be a struggle. When you find a rhythm that feels right, showing up every day becomes the natural thing to do!

As moms, we have so much on our plates, so having a simple, effective routine is everything. It was wonderful to catch up on life and see how we are both prioritizing our wellness in our own ways. Taking care of ourselves is what allows us to show up fully for our families.

I am so grateful for a friendship built on mutual support and genuine respect for each other’s choices. Here’s to keeping it simple, staying active, and cheering each other on every step of the way! 🥂🏃‍♀️

If you haven’t claimed your free tracker from Health Promotion Board, please do so, health is the best investment we can make in our lives.

不牺牲的选择 - 事业 家庭

那天在吉隆坡,会议结束得比预期早。
老公和孩子们都在身边,
我们就顺路走进了一家最近很红的书店,
就在 Sunway SQ Mall 里面, The Library by BookXcess。

🧐The "Balcony" Reflection

I just wrapped up a morning business Zoom meeting in the balcony while my daughter had her biology 💪🏼 lecture in the living room nearby. It’s one of those "work-from-home" perks 💕— I found myself pausing my own work just to listen in. Her professor 🎙️was explaining the sheer brilliance of our immune cells, and it was a fascinating reminder of how sophisticated we really are. 🧬

It actually brought to mind a truth I saw recently regarding 🐄cow’s milk 🥛. We’ve always been told it’s the "perfect" solution for bones, but science shows that over-relying on it can actually block the body's ability to absorb iron. It’s a classic case of how nature doesn't like imbalances or isolated shortcuts.

That moment really reinforced why I’ve built my career on a different set of standards. 🎖️

Most of the world is sold on fragments—isolated nutrients stripped away from the original plant. But our cells ❌don't want fragments; they want the Whole Team. I’ve aligned my work with a philosophy that refuses to take the easy route:

🌷Freshness as a Requirement: I only work with a process that starts with the fresh, living plant. If Mother Nature's wisdom isn't there at the start, you can’t manufacture it in a lab later.

🌈Preserving the Symphony: My focus is on technology that "locks in" the plant’s natural profile at its peak. It’s about preserving the whole, not just extracting a single "note."

🏆The "One" Standard: I’ve realized that while many talk about health, I only know one organization that actually puts in the work to handle fresh produce this way. It is a path of uncompromising standards that requires a level of discipline most companies simply won't commit to.

The more I learn about our own biology, the less I’m moved by surface-level trends. I’ve chosen this path because it’s the only one I’ve found that truly respects 🌏 Mother Nature's wisdom and the intelligent design of the 🧬human immune system.

I’m curious — have you ever had a "lightbulb 💡moment" while listening to your kids' lessons? It’s amazing what we can learn when we’re just eavesdropping from the next room ! 💓

Flour on the Floor (and Peace in my Soul) 🍫

I was watching my two today—the "Recipe Queen" and her brother/official sous-chef—huddled over a tray of brownies.

It’s funny how life works. My husband was in the background, already mentally calculating the cleanup time and the state of the oven. He started his first line of nagging before the mixture was even stirred! (I do appreciate him for that anxiety, though, because someone has to be the practical one! 😂 haaa!)
But I just sat there, leaning against the counter, taking it all in.

Many years ago, I probably would have been the "anxious" parent, too. (That would have made it two parents, plus two anxious grandparents... a total of four anxious adults hovering over these teens! Can you imagine?)

Back then, I would have been checking my phone, stressed about a boss’s deadline, or rushing them to finish so we could get on to the "next thing." Honestly, I used to speak to my children just as I did to my team at the office—rushing everyone to hit deadlines! My schedule wasn't really mine, and it showed in how I showed up at home.

I’m so glad I decided to change the scenery all those years ago. I’ve learned to appreciate the goodness that most busy working adults often miss.
Seeing them laugh over a messy kitchen made me realize that this—this exact, unscripted, chocolate-covered moment—is the life I was actually aiming for. I just love watching my teens doing things together.

Having my own online global business gives me the mental peace to just be there. I can be around to snap these "Happie Photos" behind their backs (Oops! Eventually they caught me sneaking that precious photo). 📸

I didn't start this professional journey because I’m obsessed with "the grind." I did it because I knew I wanted to appreciate life more. I wanted a career that allowed me to value the bonding over the bowls, and the memories over the mess. I wanted to give financial and emotional support for all their little experiments.

My heart is full, my kitchen is in a mess, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. ✨

101 🥳 Taipei 101 climb made me realize how much we overlook the most important ingredient. 🏢✨

I’ve been following the news about Alex Honnold climbing Taipei 101, and it really hit me. 🧗‍♂️

It’s easy to look at him at the top and think he’s just "built different" or born without fear. But the truth is, he trained for years to overcome that fear and keep his body ready.

💡It made me realize that his HEALTH 🥦🥬🥕 was the foundation that allowed all that training to actually work. 🏢✨ 🤩

It made me think about how most of us treat our health. We often think we can just "buy" it by popping a 💊 pill from a health store or finding a quick shortcut. But I’m learning that real health doesn't come from a bottle. It comes from the actual knowledge of what to eat 🍒🍌🍋 and being consistent with exercise, day after day. 🏃‍♂️🥦 No magic pill can replace that daily discipline.

I see so many people—and I’ve been there too—sacrificing sleep and eating junk just to "keep grinding." 😴🍔 We act like neglecting our bodies is the price of being successful. But watching that climb, I realized that determination is a physical thing. If your body is weak, your drive will eventually run out. You wouldn't try to drive a car across the country with a broken engine just because you have a "strong will." 🚗💨

I’m starting to see that taking care of my body isn’t a distraction from my goals—it is the work. 🛠️ Honnold didn't just wake up brave; he built a body that could handle the pressure. If we build a strong foundation, we aren't just getting by; we’re making ourselves capable of reaching heights we never thought possible. 🌟

Join me in the journey to eating right and consistent simple and effective exercises 🥑🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️

🌟 The Confident Quiet Navigator 🌟

I never officially shared how proud I am that my girl started her part-time job last year. Her journey had a different rhythm.

Since she was 15, we talked about many part-time options, and she was always very clear about the environments she wanted to avoid. I’ll admit, at one point I thought: “How will she find work at all if she sets such high standards?”

But as I’ve learned over the years, parenting is really about being present to listen. And the most valuable (and hardest!) part is knowing when to shut up! Hahaha. We often jump in with unsolicited advice that just pulls the plug on the whole conversation.

By giving her that space, she did her own research and "recce." She checked in with friends and eventually found an environment she truly loves—an artisanal cafe. She’s surrounded by handcrafted breads, pastries, and signature brunches. Honestly, I can’t even pronounce half the names of the breads properly, but she can!

She knew her strengths and was resourceful enough to find a workplace she enjoys. I love listening to her share how she braces through the occasional unhappy work incident with such grace.
I’m one proud parent!

I appreciate her for being the "pro" who showed her younger brother how it's done. ❤️

🕶️The quiet determination of a new chapter🕶️

Watching them grow up happens in the quiet moments.

Just a few weeks ago, the weight of "O" Level results was hanging over his head, making it hard to find motivation for anything. We knew his anxiety and we took special effort as a family not to stir his emotions.

But the moment those results were out, something shifted. He didn’t wait around—he went straight out to find work.

He’s determined to earn his own income to buy the laptop he needs for his tertiary studies. Seeing him take this kind of ownership makes my heart so full.

I’ve always believed that one should experience work life early in life. It’s where you first face the "real world," and those experiences shape your grit and motivation to be a better version of yourself.

So proud of you, son.

From Opposites to Besties:
The Teenage Years

If you’d told me a few years ago that my "I hate shopping" son and my "shopping is my cardio" daughter would find common ground, 😫 I’m not sure I would have believed you.
I spent a lot of time wondering what on earth would ever bridge the gap between their two very different worlds. 🧐

The secret ingredient? The kitchen. 🍳

Over the last two years, they’ve slowly taken over the stove, turning meal prep into their own private hangout.

But today really took the cake:

🥳 Gym Buddies: They hit the weights together for a solid workout.
🎊 The Supermarket Run: They tackled the aisles as a team (yes, even the non-shopper!).
🎉 Chef Mode: They came home and cooked up a storm for their dinner.
Watching them navigate life as a duo—laughing over grocery bags and debating spice levels—is the ultimate "parent win." My heart (and my stomach) is very full tonight. 🏠✨

✨ 🎊🤩🩷A Golden Nugget for the Parenting Journey ✨ 🎊🤩🩷

💝 The Best Advice: We often exhaust ourselves trying to "manufacture" moments of connection between our kids, but some of the strongest bonds are grown in the quiet spaces we leave open. Let nature take its course.

💝 You don't always have to build the bridge; sometimes, you just have to step back and trust them to find the tools to build it themselves.
