Today is World Cancer Day, and my heart is with every single person touched by cancer.

If you’re reading this as a survivor, I see you. I see the strength it takes to get out of bed on the hard days. I see the courage in every treatment session, every scan, every moment of uncertainty. I see how you’ve had to redefine what “strength” even means.

If you’re a caregiver, I see you too. The late nights, the worry that never quite leaves, the way you hold it together for someone you love while your own heart is breaking.

Here’s what I’ve learned in my years as a Cancer Exercise Specialist: Your body hasn’t betrayed you. It’s been through battle, yes—but it still has the capacity for healing, for rebuilding, for reclaiming what cancer tried to take.

Movement isn’t just exercise. It’s medicine. It’s hope in action. It’s you telling cancer, “You don’t get to write the final chapter of my story.”

Whether you’re 3 days or 3 years out from diagnosis, whether you’re still in treatment or learning to live in survivorship, you deserve to feel strong again. Not the same strong as before—something deeper. The unbreakable kind.
