We are proud to announce the official opening of our new Orthopaedic Surgery, Hand & Reconstructive Microsurgery, and Rehabilitation Centres, an important milestone in the first stage of NUH’s transformative endeavour to meet Singapore’s growing healthcare needs!

This momentous occasion was graced by Dr Koh Poh Koon, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Health & Ministry of Manpower.

These centres form an integrated hub of care, bringing together consultations, surgery, diagnostics, rehabilitation, and pharmacy services in one location. This reduces patient walking distance and enables seamless collaboration between clinicians and allied health professionals. The Rehabilitation Centre offers physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and podiatry services within the same integrated space.

Designed with smart technologies including intelligent lighting systems and daylight harvesting, the new facilities set a benchmark for greener and smarter healthcare infrastructure.

Thank you to all our dedicated teams who made our vision a reality. Embodying the principle that “Movement is Life”, these new centres will support patients through every step of their journey.

Congratulations to Prof James Hui from the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, who has received the inaugural Bisignano Distinguished Endowed Visiting Professorship. This biennial honour from The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania recognises someone whose work transcends orthopaedic sub-specialties, and whose leadership qualities make it such that all faculty and all those in training would benefit from the lecture. 👏 James Hui

The NUHS Trauma division held the “Junior Trauma Sawbone” session earlier today. It was heartening to see the spirit of education, not just between the senior and junior Residents, but between the Residents and HOs/MOs/medical student! Thank you everyone for participating and hope everyone had fun! 🔨🪛🔩
