WHAT

Q: What is BigBigMummy about? A: It is a platform to introduce my new venture/hobby - BAKING Lactation Brownies. Yes they are very healthy snacks made with a lot of love and effort. While the main target audience is breastfeeding mothers, these lactation snacks are also safe to eat by anyone of us! Personally, I will not encourage pregnant mummies in their final trimester to eat too much of my brownies. Moderation is key - 1 to 2 pieces are not a problem. For breastfeeding mums, these lactation snacks will help boost your milk supply when consumed over time. As I have emphasized, they are very healthy snacks as I make sure they are not sinfully sweet or fattening. For non-breastfeeding people, men and women alike, we will not lactate even if we eat a lot of these lactation snacks. Already tried and tested! Q: What are the ingredients of these snacks and the pricing details? Lactation Brownies :

S$40 (7" by 7" by 1.5" cut into 16 pc)

(Organic virgin coconut oil, Organic buckwheat, Organic raw sugar, Organic almond milk, Organic baking soda, Sweet potato, Brewers yeast, Organic Brown flaxseed meal, Natural unsweetened cocoa powder, Semi-sweet chocolate chips, Cinnamon, Vanilla essence, Egg)

WHO

Q: Who is BigBigMummy? A: I am BigBig's mummy. My name is Shuling, aka SSL. Q: Who is BigBig? A: BigBig is my first child, conceived with my hubby whom I love to address affectionately as Uncle Teo (btw he's not that old to be my uncle..lol). This 1st pregnancy experience is not known to many of our friends as it did not have a good ending. WHERE

Q: Where is BigBig now? A: BigBig is in Heaven now. We believe he/she is well taken care of by God. WHEN

Q: When did all these happen? A: On 6 July 2014, it was a surreal feeling when we discovered I was 5wks+ pregnant. Unfortunately, my baby didn't make it past the first trimester. On 18 August 2014, at 11wks+, no heartbeat was detected and I had to do a D&C procedure and remove him/her from my body. WHY

A: Why do I call it BigBigMummy? A: It is a mummy's way to do something for her child. To let others know the existence of her little angel. You may say that the mummy refuses to let go, but she will still love to do some good and spread more love to more mummies out there in the name of her "unknown" child. I am glad I am braver now to share. I want to tell other mummies out there who have suffered miscarriages/stillborns/passing of their kids - our precious little one is well and happy UP there, so we must be strong. HOW

Q: How did the idea of selling lactation snacks come about? A: I have no idea, literally. Hahaha! It just happened, by chance. BigBig's EDD was 5 March 2015, so I joined an exclusive Facebook group where all the March babies Mummies gather to give one another encouragement and advice. Although I lost BigBig in Aug 2014, I can't bear to leave the group bcos this group totally rocks! It is very very upsetting when you just lost your first child and still see others happily pregnant. IT IS NOT EASY. However, I am thankful that my hormones never make me go so crazy that I become bitter and jealous. Yes I am envious, but I want everyone of them to have a safe pregnancy. So, I stayed on in the FB group, hoping to learn more tips for my future darlings. And tata... I get to know many marvelous mummies and become close friends with some. So when my gang members are going to pop, I began to think what is the best gift I can give them. I know they will love $$$ (Come on, who dun love ANGPOWS? Pls give me angpows when i gg to seh in future hor! Hahahaha!) Unfortunately, my financial status was not so good then (I left my previous teaching job after the miscarriage - too upsetting) and the gang is quite BIG... so I thought of baking lactation snacks to help them boost their breast milk supply. Some shared that they have BO woes, so I also googled and made them breastfeed-friendly deodorant! (Perhaps I should sell these soon too haha!) This group of supportive friend then suggested the idea of selling the stuff to help more people. This idea is gradually born and here I am... going to start this small venture. To help people and enjoy what I do.

“At the age of 10-12 months when a child begins to walk, the bones of the foot are only partially ossified, are in reality but an orderly arrangement of cartilaginous masses.” - Functional Disorders of the Foot by Frank D. Dickinson, MD 🦶🏽

The implications of this are that little feet are extremely malleable, and will adapt to whatever environment they are put in. We want our children to grow up with natural shaped feet, not shoe-shaped feet. Keep those little paws out of shoes as long as possible. 🐾
