Back by popular demand, Dining in the Dark is a multi-sensory experience that invite participants to share a meal in pitch-black darkness. We hope that other than the free lunch, this event is a good platform to understand the daily life of the visually handicapped.

Special thanks to the Singapore Association for the Visually Handicapped (SAVH) for your manpower support, and giving us a good glimpse into the environment of a visually handicapped. In addition, the financial and logistical support from Diversity & Inclusion under Office of Global Learning (OGL) has been equally tremendous. Thank you to both groups of people for making this event such a successful one!

"Building swanky infrastructure for the rapidly growing aging population and people with disability is not sufficient to address the problem. According equality and equity to our country men with disability should mean more than infrastructure. We need a change from within, a change of hearts and minds, of attitudes and perception.

To put it in a nutshell, the hardware is being provided by the government, but the software, awareness and education needs building up. Attentiveness to people with disability needs to be imparted speedily, and instilled at an early age."

Helen Keller once said “It has been said that life has treated me harshly; and sometimes I have complained in my heart because many pleasures of human

Dyslexia is probably one of the most common learning disabilities around. But how much do you know about them? Christian Boer created a new font, Dyslexie, that is designed to help people with dyslexia read with greater ease!
