It’s been a mix of good and not-so-good days — but thankfully, more good ones lately.
Perimenopause is no joke. Some mornings I wake up with aching joints, or my old surgery knee decides to swell for no reason. Other days, my sciatic pain joins the party after doing a bit too much.
But I’m not stopping. I’m learning to work with my body and around these symptoms.
It’s mentally draining at times, but I’m showing up — one day at a time. 💪✨

📌 Can 30 Minutes of Exercise Help with Perimenopause?
Yes! Research shows that just 30 minutes of exercise a day can help ease many symptoms of perimenopause and menopause.

Here’s how it helps:

💪 Reduces Hot Flashes & Night Sweats
Exercise helps regulate your body’s stress response and can reduce the intensity and frequency of vasomotor symptoms.

🧠 Boosts Mood & Brain Health
Perimenopause can bring anxiety, brain fog, and mood swings. Physical activity boosts serotonin and endorphins, helping you feel more balanced and focused.

🛌 Improves Sleep
Regular movement supports your circadian rhythm, making it easier to fall (and stay) asleep.

💓 Protects Your Heart & Bones
Hormonal changes increase the risk of heart disease and osteoporosis. Exercise helps counteract these effects by strengthening your cardiovascular system and bones.

🔥 Supports Weight Management
Many women notice weight gain during perimenopause—especially around the midsection. Strength training and cardio together help manage fat gain and support lean muscle.

🌀 Regulates Hormones
Movement helps regulate insulin, cortisol, and other key hormones that influence your energy, mood, and metabolism.

REAL TALK: I’m only human.

Lately, I’ve been struggling with intense hip pain. I tried everything—stretching, foam rolling, sports massages—you name it. But the relief only lasted a day. Then, the pain became unbearable. I checked myself into Farrer Park Hospital for observation and pain management, and after some scans, I found out I have degenerative L4 and L5 vertebrae pinching my sciatic nerve.

With Christmas around the corner, I chose painkillers and anti-inflammatories to get me through the holidays with my family. My next appointment is set for January 6, 2025, so we’ll see what’s next.

To all my amazing clients: I’m so sorry for the delay in getting back to you, but I promise I’ll be back soon. Just taking care of some maintenance on my body so I can come back stronger. BE RIGHT BACK 💪

And thank you for helping me and ensuring me what I’m covered!!
