SL Aesthetic Clinic was founded by Dr Kelvin Chua, who started his surgical training in Australia teaching hospitals, spending time in dermatology and surgical rotations. Kelvin founded SL Aesthetic Clinic and SkinLab The Medical Spa in the 2000s, followed by TrichoLab in 2020. Together with key partners and staff, he grew the company from a single clinic at Wheelock Place to multiple locations across Singapore. Over the course of 2 decades, Kelvin has since performed thousands of successful cases of liposuction procedures, Botox and filler treatments under his belt. He has a keen interest in non-invasive facial contouring and lifting techniques as well as liposuction for body contouring procedures. He also performs Fotona, HIFU, Thermage CPT, Fractional CO2 laser, Pico Laser, hair loss management & treatments. With a strong passion for inspiring others through teaching, Kelvin is a guest speaker at Republic Polytechnic, an appointed trainer for aesthetic institutions and cosmeceutical companies, and is a mentor to aspiring aesthetic doctors. He also devotes much of his time to study new techniques, technologies and latest skincare ingredients to complement treatments at SL Aesthetic Clinic, SkinLab The Medical Spa and TrichoLab.

If you’re checking a product label, here’s what to look for:

☝🏻Authentic exosome ingredients may appear as specific actives, such as Plant-Derived Exosomes (Vesicles).
🚫 Be cautious if you only see vague terms like “exosome complex,” “stem cell extract,” or “growth factors” — these often indicate there are no real exosomes, just conditioned media or extracts.
✅ Always check the ingredient list, look for clinical backing, and understand how it’s actually delivered to your skin.

It all began with a desire our founder Dr Kelvin Chua had in spreading his love for beauty and aesthetics.

As aesthetic medicine became less invasive and hence more accessible by people, the decision to write the first word of our story began in the heart of Singapore. Soon after, like-minded physician Dr Gabriel Wong came on board to help write the SL Aesthetic Clinic narrative.
