What are Your Holiday Habits? Do they put you in a 'Rest & Repair' state? Or do they get you in a 'Fight or Flight' state even though you are on a holiday - Fighting for a 'Must-Buy' holiday item, rushing to catch all the 'Must-See' sights?
There is no right or wrong, it is a matter of personal preference or habit. But do be mindful that our Holiday Habits affect our mental, emotional and physiological states.
My recommendation is to to practice Holiday Habits that promote 'Rest & Repair' of our body even as we try to get the most of the time & $$ spent on the holiday
- START the day with a slow and easy hotel breakfast without rushing
- EXPLORE new places leisurely, it is nice to see new attractions, but it is OK to miss them too.
- EAT MINDFULLY - enjoy new foods, which is an essential part of any travel experience, but eat MINDFULLY, take your time to enjoy them instead of rushing against time to eat more of them.
- FOCUS on the people you are travelling with, have longer conversations, connect deeper.
Have a 'Restorative' holiday!
Blessings
