I’m a fitness enthusiasts, walking encyclopedia and health nut.
I hated exercising since young because i dislike the feeling of sweating. In fact this led me to choose Archery as my Co-Curricular Activity in school as it was the only CCA sport with aircon and 75% of the time was spent waiting to shoot arrows!
Things changed dramatically when i got misled to join Canoeing as a sport (i initially thought it was just recreational rowing around the scenic Marina Bay waters) which kick started my fitness discipline.
A few years later, i saw massive improvements in my agility and stamina and people started looking for me as a key person to pass the ball to during Physical Education Lessons! That was a feeling that eluded me when i was younger.
The physical and mental changes led me to also represent Singapore for international competitions in the canoeing realm and despite retiring from the sport, i would still go back and coach dragonboat once in a while.
I’ve been fat, called fat and certified as fat (entered the school’s Trim and Fit programme) but today I’m proud to say that i am living the best version of myself. I believe that what helped me to change for the better boils down to 2 things: the right knowledge and a strong community of like minded. I am super excited to have people meet their fitness and health goals and i hope that this page can benefit you in a similar manner, just like how i have benefited from being in a superb environment when i was in canoeing.
