MYTH: Once you’re 10cm dilated, it’s time to start pushing immediately.
FACT: Reaching 10cm doesn’t always mean it’s go time! Your body (and baby) might need more time to rotate and descend before pushing feels right. Waiting for that natural urge to push — often called laboring down — can actually make pushing more effective and reduce fatigue and tearing.

Your body knows what it’s doing — sometimes, the best thing you can do is listen and wait. 💪✨

If you’ve ever felt a sharp or burning pain around your p***c bone, especially when walking, turning in bed, or standing on one leg — you might be experiencing Symphysis P***s Dysfunction (SPD).

SPD happens when the ligaments that normally keep your pelvic bones aligned become too relaxed and stretchy (thanks, hormones!) — causing pain and instability in the pelvic area.

✨ The good news? There are ways to manage it:

- Try keeping movements symmetrical (avoid standing on one leg or crossing your legs).
- When getting out of bed, keep your knees together and roll to your side first.
- Use a support belt or gentle pelvic exercises to stabilise the area.
- And most importantly — don’t push through the pain. Rest and seek help from a physiotherapist familiar with pelvic health.

Your body is working hard to bring new life into the world — give it the care and support it deserves. 💛

✨ Birth doesn’t have to be complicated. ✨

For most healthy pregnancies, birth is a natural, physiological process — yet we often hear stories that make it sound scary, unpredictable, or out of our control.

Here’s the truth → your body was designed for this. 🌿
When you prepare, understand what’s happening, and work with your body instead of against it, birth can feel smoother, calmer, and more empowering.

🌀 Simple things like:
✅ The right breathing techniques
✅ Gentle movement and positions
✅ Trusting your body’s instincts
… can all support labour and help it progress naturally.

You deserve to feel informed, confident, and supported as you step into birth. 💜

🌸 Your pelvis is amazing! 🌸

Did you know your pelvis is designed to move, shift, and expand during labour? Thanks to the hormone relaxin, the joints and ligaments around your pelvis become more flexible, giving your baby the space they need to rotate and descend.

✨ Why this matters:
The more flexible and mobile your pelvis is, the smoother labour can progress. Movement isn’t just helpful—it’s powerful!

💡 Try this during pregnancy & labour:

- Gentle stretches and squats

- Hip circles on a birthing ball

- Changing positions frequently during labour

Your body is built for birth, and every little bit of movement helps you work with it, not against it. Trust your body, keep moving, and let your pelvis do its magic! 💪✨

Have you tried any pelvic exercises during pregnancy or labour? I’d love to hear your experience! 💜
