As we all know that the current economic situation is not all that rosy, the inevitable has came. LIA will be announcing an industry wide adjustment to its investment rate of returns downwards on 1st July 2021. To most of us existing policy holders, it will be good news because it will not affect us. But for others, who only decide to start their plans after 1st July, they will be subjected to the new revised rates. What this means is that the projected rates will be lower and the premiums will be higher. So if you have any questions regarding this upcoming changes do slip into my DM and I’ll get back to you. .

Recent studies have shown that the number of pets, especially dogs that have been adopted recently, have gone up significantly. My guess is that when we are all stuck at home working, it’s always a good feeling to have a pet helping to divert our attention away just for a few seconds. However, the fear is that this phenomenon could lead to a more serious issue where they are abandon when the novelty feel is over.

If you are thinking about buying one, IMO, always choose to adopt first. Let us give these furry friends another chance at life. 🥰

With the passing of a dear friend, it’s quite evident that friendship within your own social circle shouldn’t be taken advantage of because these are the people that will help ease abit of that sense of loss and fill it with laughter and fun. It’s definitely a commitment to each other because it’s not the good times that matter, it’s really in the bad times where the essence of what true friendship is will be shown.

On this day. I dedicate this post to one of my FC who has been a strong pillar in my team.

3 years on and I can only see growth. Despite the ups and downs that you’ve gone through, you still managed to pull through. Especially the year when you had lost a loved one. It was a difficult year for you, jetting off to your hometown, worrying about work and at the same time the condition of your love one. Totally understand that feeling because I have been through it myself. But I know one thing is for sure is that you have grown stronger. 💪🏼

I do hope that your dream of achieving MDRT will finally come to fruition this year. Because your year of breakthrough is now. I hope you can have clarity in your mind as you move towards this goal because it will do justice to your work and also the affirmation to your clients that you are a quality advisor. 🤜🏻🤛🏻

A dear friend that I’ve known for more than 15 years. And yes we both agreed that time passes is by so quickly. Today was a pleasant surprise because i had a free meal!!! 🍜😆

But besides that, I really enjoy our conversations and if you have noticed it wasn’t dominated by financial planning but more of life. It’s an incredible feeling to have when i know that I do not need to emphasize so much on elaborating the importance because you just get it. It’s a joy to have you as a client of 12 years and counting. My very first client to be exact. And you so readily bought a policy from me although we were acquaintance only back then.

The journey has been interesting so far but I do hope that I will be able to still continue to serve you till I see you getting your first pot of retirement funds in the very near future. You can thank me by treating me to another bowl of ramen. 😂✌🏽

And I title this series of unfortunate happening part 2. On a rare occasion, the four of us will meet up over dinner to chit chat. But today is extremely memorably because 1) the food that we ate at this so call popular place in the East was terrible. That is why you won’t see any pictures of food. 2) the drinks served at this drinking hole was terrible because you can’t even taste the alcohol content although it was labeled premium.

But the saving grace was that when I look back at this gathering, it wasn’t so much about the food and drinks but it was for a fact that when I add up the number of years we have been friend, it’s almost touching 90 years. Goodness! We are getting ancient.

We are actually the pioneer group for a local polytechnic in our church ministry. Many comrades have fallen out of the picture or was once very fervent but we stuck through it till now. Our friendship wasn’t built over ministries but build honestly over the care and concern for each other.

So here’s a toast to us. For sticking through it till now. Happy September to us. Cheers!
