This Chinese New Year, choose light, gentle and nourishing foods to support strength and comfort during treatment.

Steamed fish, soft tofu and warm vegetable soups are easier to digest and kinder on the body.

For safety, avoid raw foods, as they may carry bacteria. Dishes such as yu sheng (lou hei / raw fish salad) are best avoided during treatment.

Wishing everyone a healthy and peaceful festive season. 🧧✨

On World Cancer Day, let us honour stories like hers, stories of courage, purpose, and living fully ❤️

Dr Peter Ang, Senior Consultant Medical Oncologist at OncoCare Cancer Centre, reminds us that fear and misconceptions around cancer can be overwhelming, but understanding your risks, treatment options, and support systems can help you manage fear and stay engaged in meaningful life activities, including work, hobbies, and community roles 🌟

Talking to children about cancer is never easy but silence can be harder for them. 🤍

Children are sensitive to changes. When they don’t understand what’s happening, they may feel confused, scared, or alone. Honest, gentle conversations help them feel safe, trusted, and emotionally supported.

You don’t have to explain everything at once. What matters most is reassurance, love, and letting them know they are not facing this alone.

Critical illness can happen to anyone even when you are young, active, and healthy.

In Singapore, more people in their 30s and 40s are being diagnosed with illnesses like cancer. Beyond treatment, many families face long-term medical costs, loss of income, and emotional stress.

Understanding these realities helps us prepare, support one another, and make informed decisions for the future. 😉
