Here are some encouraging reviews we've received recently from our end users! It is so important to be proactive around the well-being of our older adults rather than to be reactive only after an unfortunate incident, resulting in hefty healthcare costs and sometimes the lost of independence.

We've now achieved an added dimension to our solution by incorporating Fujitsu's cutting-edge Sound Sensing Technology to look at coughing, snoring, loud sounds as "events" to provide monitoring while respecting the individual's privacy, enabling access to important health data. Fujitsu's ubiquitous hardware and software is an excellent fit with our whole vision, and we are so excited about our future together with Fujitsu.

We recently embarked on a six-month trial in collaboration with Adventist Home for the Elders to install the Silverline independent living solution in two studio apartments at Golden Clover in Toa Payoh East. This project looks to help older adults lead safer and more independent lives, while receiving better in home care and providing next-of-kin or caregivers with peace of mind knowing that they will be alerted to take action if there is an emergency or cause for concern.

One of the trial users, Mdm Ng, who lives alone, expressed her gratitude in Mandarin: "Before, I was worried I might pass out and nobody would know... now, with this emergency button, I'm very happy". At the same time, Mrs Josephine Teo, Senior Minister of State at the Prime Minister's Office, visited Mdm Ng's home as well. She remarked that the sensors could help the older adults live more independently, and receive timely help. "Timeliness when it comes to responding to seniors' needs - that is the priority."

The launch of Singapore Semiconductor Industry Association’s (SSIA) Internet of Things (IoT) Consortium took place at Marina Bay Sands, with Minister of State for Ministry of National Development & Ministry of Trade and Industry, Dr Koh Poh Koon gracing the event.

This ties in very well with the government’s efforts to promote innovation and partnerships in Singapore, and it is also aligned with the ongoing Smart Nation initiative where technologies such as IoT and robotics are leveraged to harness the power of data and build a nation that supports better living, stronger communities, and more opportunities for businesses. We are proud to be one of the innovative local companies to be participating in this consortium amongst strong support and involvement from MNCs such as Intel, whose partnership has been very instrumental in the development of our state-of-the-art home gateway that has multiple capabilities in communicating with a full range of sensors, devices and wearables.

It is always so comforting to know that there's someone you can turn to, have a casual chat with, or even take a stroll with. Friends of Older Adults (volunteers) help keep the kampung spirit alive by caring and keeping a lookout for Older Adults in their community. Thumbs up for their selfless dedication!

That’s a terrific way to dive right into your 90s! There’s so much that we can learn from an Older Adult like Mr Tan who is constantly challenging himself and going beyond his comfort zone even at 90 years old – a perfect example of living life to the fullest.

It was Mr Tan's fourth skydive, his first being in 1996. He is currently listed as the oldest skydiver here in the Singapore Book Of Records.

We read that close to 8000 Older Adults per year were admitted to the hospital as a result of falls in the last 3 years - that's an astonishing figure. We know how Singaporeans all love queuing, but this is one queue number we do not want to be next in line for.

For a second year in a row, we were invited to showcase our solution at InnovFest unbound! We were pleasantly surprised to hear that some of the visitors to our booth were actually participants who had earlier signed up for the ongoing Yuhua trial.

One of the key topics that emerged from this 2-day event was digital security and how the public and private sectors need to work hand in hand to protect the increasing amount of data being collected.
