🙏 Welcoming the New Year with Mindfulness and Compassion 🙏

As the year begins, we pause for a moment — to breathe, to arrive, and to give thanks for this community we share.

The past year brought its ups and downs, its lessons and quiet moments of growth. We carry them gently as we step forward, continuing our practice one day at a time.

As we step into the days ahead, may we walk gently — with more patience, more kindness, and a little more awareness in how we speak, act, and relate to one another. May we remember to return to the present moment, again and again, especially when life feels uncertain.

With the gentle guidance of Arya Tara, may we find calm, courage, and compassion along the way.

Wishing everyone a peaceful and meaningful year ahead.

🌸 Happy New Year 🌸

🌼 Happy Lhabab Düchen! 🌼

Lhabab Düchen commemorates the Buddha’s return to the human realm after giving teachings to his mother for three months in the Heaven of the Thirty-Three.

On this auspicious day, our thoughts turn to compassion, gratitude, and the wish to bring benefit to others — in big or small ways.

As one of the four great Buddhist festivals, all positive actions done today are multiplied one hundred million times.

May our prayers, generosity, and practice today bring peace and benefit to all beings. 🙏

Earlier this month, Tara Buddhist Centre donated 150 bags of daily necessities to two Social Service Offices. These will go to seniors and families with young children in our community. 💛

We’re grateful for the chance to share a little care and kindness with others. May these offerings bring comfort and warmth to those who receive them. 🙏

🌼 Chokhor Duchen – Turning of the Wheel of Dharma 🌼

Today marks Chokhor Duchen, one of the four great holy days in the Tibetan Buddhist calendar. On this day, we commemorate the Buddha’s first teaching after attaining enlightenment — the turning of the Wheel of Dharma at Deer Park in Sarnath.

On this auspicious day, let us take this precious opportunity to deepen our practice, offer prayers, and engage in virtuous activities.

Let us take a moment to reflect, be kind, and dedicate our merits for the benefit of all beings. 🙏🏼

🙏🎉 Happy 90th Birthday to our Precious Guru and Patron, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama 🎉🙏

Today, we celebrate a remarkable life dedicated to peace, compassion, and wisdom. For nine decades, His Holiness has inspired the world with his teachings on kindness, non-violence, and the importance of inner peace.

May His Holiness continue to be blessed with good health and long life. May his message of compassion and universal responsibility continue to shine across the world, bringing hope to all beings.

“Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.” – Dalai Lama

Happy Saga Dawa Duchen!

Today marks one of the most sacred days in the Tibetan Buddhist calendar—Saga Dawa Duchen, celebrating the birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana (passing) of Lord Buddha.

It is said that the merit of any good deed performed today is multiplied hundred million times.

Whether through offering prayers, lighting lamps, practising generosity, or simply showing kindness to others—let’s take this opportunity to reflect, renew our compassion, and dedicate positive actions to the well-being of all sentient beings. ❤️

May peace, wisdom, and compassion light our path. 🙏🏼
