more than a decade ago, when i knew i wanted to be my own boss eventually, i made a promise to myself that i would never lead my company the conventional way.

that the people and culture will always be at the forefront of the business. i believe that people - team members, clients, business partners, are all crucial assets to a business.

with an unconventional thought, i ended up building something unconventional (what a match 🤪) and so was the hiring process.

i’ve never seen their resumes, never fact checked any of their past jobs or whatsoever. i hired based on gut feel (lol yes really), based on their attitude towards life and work.

and that has worked out really well for me so far ā˜ŗļø truly proud of our team and let’s achieve more together!!

If you’re planning to freeze-dry breast milk in Singapore,
this is one of the first questions mums ask us.

We can customise your sachets between 90–180ml.

šŸ‘‰ each sachet = one full feed
no measuring, no guessing

One important thing to know:

Once opened, best to use within 3 days.

So when choosing your portion size,
it’s not just about how much your baby drinks
but also how often you’ll use each sachet.

Some mums choose:
• full feed sizes (for daily use)
• smaller portions (for flexibility or top-ups)

Those feelings do creeps in quietly, especially when you care this much. Your baby doesn’t need perfect, just you, showing up.

(and honestly, i’ve been here many times in my own breastfeeding journey. it’s never been linear.)

3 years in
and it’s been tougher than we thought

What started as something new and uncertain
became something that tested us in ways we didn’t expect

A lot of learning, adjustments, a lot of growing up behind the scenes.

But also… a lot of trust from mums who chose us

This anniversary month always feels a bit different
we look back, reflect, and remind ourselves why we started.

Don’t just pack, ask these first:

SAVE this list ā¬‡ļø

1. Am I travelling with my baby?
(Some rules change if baby is not with you)

2. What form is my milk in?
Frozen, liquid, or powder
each may be screened differently

3. How much am I bringing?
Is it considered a ā€œreasonable amountā€ for travel?

4. Is my packaging clear enough to identify?
Will someone at security immediately know what this is?

5. Will I need to declare or separate it?
Am I prepared for manual checks?

6. What are my airline’s rules?
(Not just the airport, airlines may have their own requirements)

7. Do I have a transit airport?
Will I be re-screened under a different set of rules?

8. Am I prepared to explain my milk if asked?
(What it is, how it’s stored, why you’re carrying it)

What people don’t see is how difficult it is to build something in a space that doesn’t really exist yet.

In Singapore, almost every mum starts breastfeeding (about 97%). But very few are able to sustain it the way they hoped, especially when work, time, and logistics come in.

Only a small percentage make it to exclusive breastfeeding at 6 months. And many stop earlier than they planned, not because they didn’t want to continue, but because it’s hard to keep up.

This is the gap we stepped into.

When we started freeze drying breast milk in singapore,
there was no clear roadmap. No standard process. No real education around long-term preservation. Just mums trying to figure things out on their own.

So instead of asking mums to try harder, we started looking at a different way to continue.

11 batches since january. and i couldn’t stop thinking about it.

not as a founder, not as someone who processes breast milk powder everyday. but as a mum who knows what it feels like to do everything in your power for your baby and then having to wonder if what you gave them was safe.

the recalls will keep happening as long as profit comes before people.

i built wonderbewbz so that at least one decision in this space was made differently.

Same process.
Same service.

but never the same story.

maybe that’s what we didn’t expect.

That behind every stash was a different reason season,
or different way of holding on. And over time,
it changes how you see breastfeeding too.

No…. your baby isn’t drinking croissant-flavoured milk.

Some studies found that when mothers ate garlic, the smell of their breast milk changed within about 2 hours, and babies actually nursed longer during those feeds.

In other words, the flavour change didn’t make babies reject the milk, they sometimes drank even more.

Pretty amazing when you think about it.
