St.John's Home Care Services was founded as a voluntary grassroots initiative, a social enterprise aimed at bringing accessible healthcare to those who would otherwise suffer in silence, as a non-profit mobile service considering the high costs of office rent, business registration and high taxes in South Sudan. Despite all challenges, the program proved successful in 2025, with collaborations, little funding and basic medical equipment, hundreds within Juba benefited from chronic illness screening, specifically High blood pressure and Diabetes screening, public health education, and referrals to hospitals. The initiative was not meant as a replacement to established health facilities but rather a community health bridge, considering the slashing of funding to many health initiatives within the country. As we wind down 2025, I would like to announce a temporary freeze in operations, as we prepare to usher in 2026, to enable us to serve you better and expand accessible healthcare to even more Payams and Bomas.

We are excited to announce that St.John's Home Care Services has partnered with Dr.Anyiel Yuot (Consultant, Internal Medicine), Maxicare Medical and Surgical Complex and Mauna Medical Complex who will be handling advanced cases referred to her. This partnership not only allows for the early management of illnesses, but also streamlines the management of patients from the point of first contact at home or dispensaries to the admission and treatment process in wards, and allows for proper channels to be followed in the treatment process.
