Back in 2010….Had the honor of designing a memorial dedicated to the AGBU Aleppo chapter’s 100th anniversary .
The design was inspired by four main characteristics, The AGBU ….100 Years of dedication….The City of Aleppo…..and the roots that the AGBU planted in it, represented by a life symbol, a tree.
The AGBU is represented by its logo. The number 100,with its digits forming the Aleppo citadel’s entrance outline , and the zeros forming the arcs that carry the entrance’s passageway ,paying homage to the great city, and then the digits running down, reaching the ground at and angled line representing the tree roots.
The monument was implemented with the help of Eng. Mr. Hagop Pilavjian, and was executed in white aleppian stone, by local stone sculptors.
It was opened at the AGBU Aleppo Calouste Gulbenkian Center on April 11,2010.
