ADCOD secretariat welcome all ADCOD committee to 7th ADCOD meeting in Bangkok. The date are 15th-17th May. Last December I tried to talk about our ADCOD in ASEAN Secretariat meeting on Occupational Health. It is great that our ADCOD is one of the topic in ASEAN OH, but there was some obstacle. We have to do as the ASEAN secretariat told that the committee for ADCOD must come from the Ministry of Health in ASEAN countries. We solve this problem by invited new ADCOD committee from each country. This time we will invite one from MOH and other one will be our previous committee. So for Loas we have already one from MOH so it don't need to change. For example from Malaysia will be one from SOCSO and the other one from MOH. So this meeting we will meet many new and old friends from each country. Don't worry we welcome you all to the 7th ADCOD on 15th-17th May this year.

Happy New Year 2019 It come too fast but it came last night. See all of our ADCOD committee in Bangkok this March.

We have just finished our 6th ADCOD meeting in Ampawa. This meeting was full of friendly atmosphere, this may be we were more closer as a friends and the atmosphere in Ampawa. The hotel is near Mae Kong river and the scenery is nice. We success in many things.
1. Our criteria will stop at first phase for 15 diseases and we will edit for gramma and vocabulary correction which Prof. David Koh and Dr. Alice Lai from Brunei volunteered themselves to edit this. After it is finalized we will published it and distribute to each country and also upload in internet. This finalized book will use in any organization that involve with ASEAN.
2. We have focal point for each country. The focal person will distribute the criteria and use it in their own country. We also persuaded each country to translate the criteria to their own language. This will be useful to the doctor and nurses in the country and also it can be referable when want to use for the legislation.
3. We agreed to develop the ASEAN Network for Occupational Diseases Reporting (ANODE). Thailand will develop the application for reporting the occupational diseases. There were discussion about who will report to whom finally it was agreed to use the ANODE tool because if we don't do it we will never start this besides this we agreed to develop an arrangement for doctor to use the criteria. An international training course that combined each country to train the doctor to use the criteria so there will be one international training courses and the local course in individual country.
After the meeting I felt that we pass the obstacle to the next level towards the success of the criteria. I hope that all of you think like I am and will try your best to use it in your own country.

Dear all ADCOD committee
Prof. Than Htut from Myanmar email me on the 2nd February that our beloved friend had pass away.
Dr. Kyi Lwin Oo Director of OEH Division, Department of Public Health was passed away last 2 months due to severe basal pneumonia after having a second attack with multiple drug resistance Klebsiella infection. He had been in ICU for 71 days and transferred to ward, after staying 40 days at ward he regained subsequent episode that took apart him from us.
Dr. Oo always smile with friendly manner to us all. He spoke little but always sincerely. When my team visit him in Myanmar, He escorted us along in Rangoon and then accompanied us to Nay Pyi Taw, the capital city. This always a memorable experience with him. He was a good friend to us. Please took a minute to mourne for him.
The picture was Dr. Oo with one of our staffs in Myanmar. Dr. Oo is in the nearer.
