Our big ladies Buatong and Mae Lou are usually in slow motion, walking step by step and stopping all the time to eat.
But when baby Bai Boua is calling, they'll always rush to her to be sure everything is ok.
Make sure to not stay in their way because nothing is more important than family. 🐘❤️

Starting now until end of June here in Thailand is the low season, even though the days are bright. 😎

This has a lot of advantages!

- LESS CROWDED / SMALLER GROUP: the number of visitors in Thailand decrease a lot during this period, which means you'll have a better chance of enjoying different activities in smaller group or even privately like a VIP.

- MORE RELAXED, INTIMATE EXPERIENCE: less people means less disturbance. You can really appreciate the nature around you, the sound of flowing waterfall, wind in the trees, chirping birds or buzzing bees. You can listen to our elephant family communicating with each other, or just have a nap in one of our numerous hammocks.
Be more present in the moment!

- GENUINE CULTURAL IMMERSION: with less visitors to take care, our Karen community will be sure to make you feel welcome and comfortable. You'll share their life in a more family way.

Another conversation started in the family because of the cows again apparently. 🐘💔🐄

Giving domestic elephants the freedom they deserve, to live with their own in their natural habitat, to create a family and strong bonds and to witness their natural behavior, is so rewarding.

🌱Mae Lou found a nice patch of fresh grass on the riverside and takes her time to enjoy it.🌱

☀️During the hot season and with the lack of rain these finds are becoming rarer.☀️

Our elephant family is switching her diet depending on the season, eating more roots, vines and small branches than green leaves or fresh grass at the moment in their natural habitat.

We also have to buy more food for them during this time to support their big appetite all day and night.

The money from your visit helps support the elephant food all year long.
So we hope to see you during the low and hot season too. 🙏

- Buatong is focused on food.
- Mae Lou is often resting.
