Course Management: Think Your Way to Better Scores!

Golf isn't just about hitting the ball hard – it's about hitting it smart! Course management is the mental side of golf that can instantly improve your scores without changing your swing.

Play within your abilities: Don't attempt shots you can't execute consistently. If you struggle with long irons, use a hybrid or fairway wood instead. Know your distances with each club and stick to them.

Aim for the fat part of the green: Instead of always aiming for the pin, target the center of the green. This gives you the largest margin for error and keeps you away from trouble like bunkers and water hazards.

Think backwards: Start from the hole and work backwards to plan your approach. Where do you want to be for your second shot? This strategic thinking helps you choose the right club and target off the tee.

Manage your misses: Accept that you'll hit bad shots – everyone does! The key is minimizing the damage. When in doubt, choose the safer option that keeps you in play rather than risking a big number.
