Today on leap day was the perfect day for a private detox at home.

The salt water cleanse (shankaprakshalana) is a yogic detox method which is one of my favourite cleansing techniques of all time. I perform it at least once a month (laghoo, the short version)

Besides the physical cleansing of the digestive tract, from mouth to the other end ;-), it is an mental and emotional detox as well. It brings me to a peaceful state and I feel so grounded like mountain Doi Inthanon. My mind is clear and my nervous system is calmed down almost instantly after the procedure.

I do it in a slightly adapted way and in a slower pace, because I need to spread my energy to perform 8-10 sets of asanas. But once the flush turns liquid and transparent, I know my work is done and it is time to rest and relax.

PS To first-timers: I highly recommend to learn this technique from a teacher who is physically present, not online. A teacher can help on site if any problem occur during the procedure.

Nothing lasts forever, our physical body is just a container for consciousness…

Only in a few months 2 teachers have left this physical world to an other realm. Khun Ni, Queen of Chi Nei Tsang, passed away this month. She shared the same teacher as Mantak Chia, Ajahn Mui. Her legacy is the phenomenal technique she developed over the years. Phenomenal in its simplicity, effectiveness and efficiency. There’s no other technique like hers.

A lot is happening in the belly, it homes our internal organs and according to Taoist monks organs are linked with emotions. When physical, mental and emotional processes stagnate we experience dis-comfort and dis-ease.

As Body and Mind- therapist and teacher I am keen on passing on my skills and knowledge, so my clients and students can maintain their own health and happiness.

In this class we combine aspects of traditional Indian yoga with Taoist abdominal techniques. Added with some Chi Gong and sounds. And what-ever comes up.

The self-massage of the belly can be performed on bare skin or on fabric.

I have 30+ years experience and have a background in various modalities e.g. Chi Nei Tsang, Thai Reproductive, Karsai Nei Tsang, Mayan Therapy as well as in Trauma Touch, Energy Work, Yoga Therapy (hatha and ta**ra) and Buddhist teachings.

The class holds 2-4 participants. And this is a women-only class.

“Oh, your belly massage was not painful!” is what I sometimes hear from new clients. I usuallly smile. As we work with a highly sensitive part of the body, a gentle, steady approach is preferred, also when we do deeper work.

Each treatment is adapted to the receiver’s need. So, we will have an intake prior to the treatment, either online or on site.
