"after mulling it over endlessly, being in recovery is like putting on a new pair of glasses. I recently got colorblind glasses and realized what I've been missing out on for 27 years. while everything looks like a miami vice filter in comparison, my surroundings are much more vivid, vibrant, and warm. it's parallel to this new headspace that flows like clockwork and enhances every beautiful aspect of this wonderful life we all inhabit.
so, what's next? that's the fun part. I'm still figuring out how I even got here in the first place, and I'll learn by helping other addicts in arms find solace in their struggle.
it's so powerful to realize your own potential and even more frightening to acknowledge, but if you dare to face down the fear and take one step at a time, you can do anything you set your mind to. if you speak into the universe, I promise it responds if you listen closely.
here's to no half-measures, and never letting perfect get in the way of good."
