Hair transplant takes follicles from where you have good growth - usually the back of your head - and moves them to thinning or bald areas. Those transplanted hairs are permanent because they’re genetically resistant to balding. Your own hair, just redistributed where you need it.

The procedure itself takes several hours depending on how many grafts you’re getting. You’re awake but numbed up so you don’t feel anything. Recovery is pretty straightforward - your scalp will be tender and you’ll see some scabbing that heals within a couple weeks.
