Stargardt disease is an inherited retinal disorder that causes central vision loss.
During the day, bright light and high contrast make it hard for patients to see clearly.
A gray or dark spot forms in the center of their vision — faces, signs, even traffic lights become hard to recognize.

🌙 At night, things get even more difficult.
In low light, vision decreases dramatically, while car headlights and street lamps cause intense glare.
Finding direction, taking steps, or recognizing a person walking toward them becomes a daily challenge.

The Hope of Seeing Again in a “Untreatable” Disease ✨🇩🇪

Our patient Betül is 19 years old and was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa three months ago.
She had been struggling with night vision, frequently tripping and falling — which had greatly affected her quality of life.
In Germany, she was told that there was no treatment and was sent home without any solution.

After extensive research, Betül discovered our clinic and began a 5–6 week treatment program.
👉 Right after her very first session, she began to perceive lights more clearly and distinguish colors more vividly.

Previously, she couldn’t tell the difference between light and dark green — now she can.
When looking out the window, she used to mistake the sea for the sky, but now she can clearly distinguish them. 🌊
