What is the concept of mini lifting? How about deep plane full face lifting? And what distinguishes temporal and midface lifting from mini lifting? Temporal and midface lifts are discreet scar lifts that involve scars hidden within the hairline or inside the mouth, targeting the upper and midface areas. In mini lifts, a scar is added behind the ears, providing a subtle enhancement with minimal excess skin in the lower face. Deep plane full face lifts involve a combination of upper and midface lifts with hidden scars, along with a total deep plane neck lift that includes incisions in front and behind the ears. This procedure is recommended when there is significant skin excess, especially when the head is tilted down. It is important to note that some skin excess is normal when the head is tilted down, as it is necessary for a natural and functional look when looking up. Therefore, it is crucial not to rush into a face lifting procedure if the skin excess is minimal. Also do not forget we need some nasolabial and marionette lines for a natural smile So, when is the right time to consider a neck lift? The answer lies in your primary concern. If lifting your cheeks with your fingers is sufficient for you, then hidden scar upper and midface lifts may be all you need. However, if you are still unsatisfied with your jawline and excess skin under your neck after lifting your cheeks, you may consider removing some excess skin from the lower face, which requires incisions around the ears. If pulling the skin from behind the ears results in satisfactory neck improvement without excess skin in front of the ears, then mini lifting could be a suitable choice. On the other hand, if pulling the skin from behind the ears causes skin to accumulate in front of the ears, then a full neck lift may be necessary.
