What is ‘Anugraha’? You may be wondering what ‘Anugraha’ means. This is a Sanskrit word with many meanings but the words which speak to me the most are ‘grace’ and ‘support’. Anugraha is that grace which is achieved through our own experiences; which supports us as we move through our everyday lives. At Anugraha Yoga we create the space for your experiences to happen.

Sharing this photo from over a decade ago as I reflect on the themes for this year's International Women's Day:
♀️Give to Gain, and
♀️Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls

Both themes speak to me of returning to balance, of recognising the value of women - all that has been done, all that we do and continue to do.

When women are given the opportunity to thrive, the world gains. This is something that should be naturally understood and yet, here we are in 2026 still having to speak up for our rights, for justice, for action to be taken so that we can be fully and freely ourselves. So that we can all thrive.

Today I invite you to reflect on the themes of - on their meaning to us, on what we are called to do as individuals and as a collective.

Happy Women's Day to all the women who have come before me, to my family and friends, to those I meet through my work. Happy Women's Day to each and every woman. May we be blessed. May we continue to give our light and may we gain grace and gratitude.

Two weeks ago I was invited to facilitate a yoga session with Form 5 students at a nearby secondary school. Next week I've been invited to share with Standard Five students at a few primary schools in my area.

This can only mean one thing. Exams are upon us. A stressful time for students, and their parents.

In putting together these slides I looked at research being done around the world about how helpful yoga can be for students of all ages.

And I asked myself if the information found resonates with me.

As someone who has been practicing yoga from a young age, I can look back and see how my practice has helped me to manage not only the drama of exams (the preparation, sitting, and results of them), but also the transition from primary to secondary to tertiary education. I know how yoga has helped me to navigate relationships with my peers and those in my space. I am thankful for the foundation of my practice in my youth.

This is why when I'm asked or invited to share with students I do what I can.

If you are a parent, a guardian, or a friend of someone doing exams please keep these slides in mind. Share with someone who may be contemplating if yoga is for them. Encourage our young people and be kind.

Two weeks ago Neala () and I co-facilitated 'Tell it to the Trees', an interactive writing session that opened space for our group to connect to, and be inspired by, the trees that live in our hearts and communities.

What can I share about this experience that hasn't already been shared by Neala and our collaborator Radeyah ()?

🧘🏾‍♀️ My role as co-facilitator for these kinds of sessions tends to be about holding the space. At the beginning, somewhere in the middle, and at the end I invited our group to breathe, to centre and connect to the space around and within themselves, to move as needed, and to observe their balance.

🌳 When we hold sessions like these there can be many thoughts and emotions in the space. As writers we draw from memory and experience, we work through chaos - mental, emotional, physical, spiritual - towards clarity. 🌱 For our group to leave in a good space they are guided and grounded through the selected readings, given time to explore and grow through their writings, and held in our hearts when invited to share.

💕 Thank you to everyone who joined us. Thank you for being open to the experience. May your roots be nourished, your trunk be stable, and your branches be ever reaching towards the Light.

🤗 Thank you to my fellow collaborators and to and Sean Farfan for our photos.

World Cancer Day 2026 🎗️

Cancer is a long-term condition, that affects all levels of well-being. It impacts not only the individual but also the families and communities around them.

This is something my family and I have witnessed and experienced ourselves. Like so many of us, we've had family and friends who have had, and currently have, cancer.

What I've also witnessed is how the practice of yoga can strengthen and sustain us. Body, heart, mind, spirit, and community. This is why I'm collaborating with a few others to launch the Beyond Cancer Online Community. Together we will build on the foundation of our shared experiences, and the work already done by Beyond Cancer's founder , to provide support, care, and community to those with cancer, those in remission, and those who care for them.

Each of our stories is unique but we are united by our shared experiences.

I was 13 when my mom was first diagnosed with breast cancer, and just about to turn 30 when she passed. That journey with cancer, all of the ups and downs, has shaped both the work that I do and the life that I choose to live. I am excited to share that, as part of that work, the Beyond Cancer online community is about to be launched.

Beyond Cancer is a supportive community for those who are navigating their healing journey with cancer, those who are in remission, and those who care for persons with cancer.

This is a space where you can access resources in yoga therapy, connect with others who are facing the same challenges as you, and participate in a supportive community that keeps you empowered.

On World Cancer Day - February 4th, we welcome you to join our live session on zoom to meet the Founder Lee Majewski and the facilitators, learn about the community and participate in a guided meditation session.

Please register for our zoom launch via the link: tinyurl.com/beyondcancerlaunch

You can find further information on the Beyond Cancer community on my website at: www.anugrahayogatt.com/pages/beyondcancer

Please share with those who may benefit from such a space. Let us collaborate and share our skills, let us connect and share our hearts, let us build our communities.

I was invited to write a guest post for Savira Gupta's Substack: Living Yoga Journal

Savira has been teaching yoga for over 2 decades, and has travelled and trained teachers around the globe. On her platform she shares reflections, insights, and observations that arise as she navigates the yoga world and its many complexities.

In my post I share about the evolution of my practice and what our practice can look like.

Please read and share if this resonates with you.

🔸Slow your pace 🔸Shift your perspective 🔸See what emerges

Gareth and I will be co-facilitating an afternoon retreat on Sunday 29th March at

While we've both facilitated events and workshops, and supported each other in doing so, this will be our first collaborative retreat blending our skills and expertise.

"Perspective: a way of seeing" is an invitation to explore perspective through the lens of yoga and photography.

This is neither a yoga class nor a technical introduction on how to use your camera but an opportunity to explore how shifts in breath, body, attention and pace can change how we see and experience the world around us.

For more information or to book your spot please send a WhatsApp message to Renee at 744-8161.
