Lead‑acid batteries are 99% recyclable, but only when disposed of correctly. Proper recycling keeps harmful materials out of our soil and waterways, supports a circular economy and ensures valuable metals are safely recovered and reused.

Have a look at how lead-acid batteries are handled for recycling. Do your part: return old or damaged batteries to Ecoimpact and help keep our environment safe.

Wetlands and traditional knowledge: Celebrating cultural heritage.

Wetlands tell the story of who we are, alive with mangrove roots and the steady rhythm of water that nourishes life. This World Wetlands Day 2026, we celebrate their beauty and their quiet power to keep our communities safe, our coastlines strong and our future brighter.

Loving our wetlands means showing up for them: choosing reusables, keeping plastics out of our rivers and drains, supporting restoration and teaching the next generation why these places matter. When we protect wetlands, we protect culture, food security and home. Let’s honour these living landscapes by taking action, today and every day.

Monday Matters- Happy Monday Folks! On this very first Monday of the year, we share with you the steps that Ecoimpact undertakes in preparing paper for recycling.

Step 1: Collection- Paper is gathered from designated recycling bins or drop-off points. This includes office paper, cardboard and other paper-based materials.

Step 2: Sorting- Paper is separated by type and grade, for e.g. office paper, cardboard and newspaper. Contaminated paper (with food residue, plastic or heavy ink) is removed to maintain quality.

Step 3: Removal of Non-Paper Materials- Staples, plastic covers and other foreign objects are manually or mechanically removed. This step prevents damage to recycling machinery and ensures purity.

Step 4: Bundling or Baling- Sorted paper is compressed into bales for easy transport. Baling reduces volume and makes handling more efficient.

Step 5: Shipment to Recycling Facility- Ecoimpact partners with certified recycling plants where paper is pulped, cleaned and processed into new paper products.
