Almost a century and a half ago, it was the city's general post office, and the spirits that linger here are said to be of the women who would wait daily to receive word from their loved ones who served in the Civil War. Rumor has it that several years ago, a construction worker caught sight of a woman in a full Victorian outfit anxiously pacing the courtyard area while it was roped off to guests.
