WHIU is moving on the purpose of healing in the lives of children, youth and women in Makindye Division, Kampala-District. World Healing Initiative Uganda Project (WHI-U) is working to free orphans from the cycle of poverty by providing a high-quality education, free education, both formal and informal, to children who have been orphaned due to HIV/AIDS in order to counteract pervasive hunger, poverty, and systemic deprivation
World Healing Initiative started by David Muwanguzi who came up with a group of talented individuals in different places after recognizing and realizing that Uganda as a developing country has experienced many social, economic, and political conflicts which brought uncertainty among the people. Wars caused a lot of setbacks in social, economic and political arenas which brought poverty, loss of lives that led to spread of HIV / AIDS In rural areas and urban centers which could not hesitate to kill the innocent parents and children. After recognizing and realizing that Parents had lost love , care and hope for their innocent children, this was as a result of the stigmatization brought about by the killer disease, ‘HIV / AIDS’ epidemic in Uganda. The group came up with ways on how to cub down the growing number of the innocent children and the youth who become victims of the circumstances in the country. OUR VALUES
