Our Commercial Manager, Ivo van der Lee, is taking part in the Animal Feeds Industry Panel at the 16th National Competitiveness Forum.

The panel discussion on “Unlocking the Competitiveness of the Animal Feeds Industry for Regional Exports” is focusing on identifying opportunities, policy priorities, and the partnerships needed to strengthen Uganda’s position in the regional feed market.

We are privileged to join fellow stakeholders in shaping ideas and strategies that will enhance the growth, quality, and regional competitiveness of Uganda’s animal feed sector.

We are at the 16th National Competitiveness Forum taking place at Golf Course Hotel.

This year’s theme, “Leveraging Regional Opportunities to Grow Food Processing and Animal Feeds Sectors in Uganda,” highlights the vital role of collaboration, innovation, and investment in building a stronger and more competitive agri-food value chain.

Last Friday, we were honored to host the Co-Chairman of the Board of De Heus, Koen De Heus at our new fish feed factory in Njeru.

During his visit, he was taken on an extensive tour of the facility, where he witnessed the full production process, from the receipt and storage of high-quality raw materials to the precision-controlled manufacturing stages, and finally to the packaging of our premium fish feed.

He was impressed by the technology, efficiency, and dedication of our local team, and expressed great confidence in the positive impact our factory will have on the growth of aquaculture across the East African region.

This visit reinforces De Heus’ commitment to advancing local production, empowering farmers, and driving sustainable growth in the aquaculture sector.
