Successfully held our Quarterly Evaluation Meeting with some of our Village Health Team members (VHTs) at our youngest project!

This team helps us to mobilize some of our activities like the Health camps and Outreaches, Community Health Dialogues, Referrals and tracking feedbacks from communities willingly and voluntarily without any serious pay.

We are glad as management for the already visible results from these elders' efforts, May God bless them!

A great woman, Rural Women / Girls' Health Care champion and enthusiast, a generous and compassionate friend turns 66 today!

Dear Katherine Cassidy, Thank you for your immense contribution towards re-imagining rural health care most especially in my community which has not only contributed to healthy lives, but general Human Integra Development as regards our People's mindset change and critical attitude towards Education and Socio-economic affairs.

Our senior Clinician and Midwife extending services to our communities through Health Education and Promotion program at Voice of Kamwenge, a local radio station specifically making highlights about Obstetrics and Gynecological complications which are on a rise in our communities.

GERTRUDE - MENSTRUAL HEALTH PROGRAM

Drawing from our aspirations for being a better place for women and girls in our communities, The Gertrude Memorial Community Relief through her friends and partners made consultations, thorough research and soliciting for support mainly for restructuring the pads workshop, sewing machines and materials and a motorbike to ease movements, We decided to promote this program because of 2 simple reasons;-

1. To educate, empower and uplift every woman / girl's health since menstrual hygiene is a human right.

2. Menstruation is a natural process and not a gender issue, We are therefore breaking the stigma so that our women and girls can have a pain free period by being clean and hygienic.

We intend to do this by making re-usable sanitary pads, then move to schools, communities and other social gatherings to create awareness, teach, demonstrate and equip these target groups with knowledge and kits.

Our much gratitude goes to the great friends who believe in the power of a woman / girl child because these are the true mothers of our Nation.

Today is Women's Clinic Day.

Hosting Marie Stopes Uganda to help us as regards Reproductive Health Needs of our beneficiaries.

This happened at one of our outreach clinics specifically at Nganiko Nyabbani Branch of Kitagwenda District.

GERTRUDE - HOME VISITATION PROGRAM

Conducting home visits offers an unparalleled, valuable opportunity to understand patient needs and to increase their engagement and self efficiency in managing care transition.

This program helps recently discharged patients and also is a valuable strategy to improve care transition for these communities.

It also enables us as service providers to get a better understanding of the patient / community needs within the broader context of their lives and also helps foster intimacy, listen and receive feedback that you can not just achieve in the normal daily operations.

EDUCATION PROGRAM

Doing Health Education about Menstrual Hygiene, Adolescence and HIV to these young students at St. Francis of Assisi High School our partner project about students' healthcare.

This is a package given towards the end of their academic term to equip them while in holidays to be reminded of the future waiting for them to live a purposeful driven and fulfilling life.
