I whispered softly into Shukran’s ear... and something beautiful happened. Her body calmed. Her face softened. She smiled. That small whisper became a bridge—connecting her to safety, to love, to trust.
Whispering may seem small—but for a child with cerebral palsy, it can be deeply powerful.
Children with CP often live with heightened muscle tone, stress, and sensory sensitivity. Their bodies can feel unsafe, unfamiliar, or even frightening. Whispering softly in their ear helps regulate their nervous system, creating a sense of safety, connection, and calm.
A whisper is gentle—it's non-threatening, intimate, and deeply human. It tells the child:
🫶🏾 “You are safe.”
🫶🏾 “You are not alone.”
🫶🏾 “I’m here with you.”
When paired with mindful movement or therapeutic touch, whispering can help reduce spasticity, increase trust, and open the door to deeper emotional and physical healing.
