In line with our mission to inspire healthy generations and contribute towards building resilient communities; Our Programs Director Nimusiima Evas Kasyo is participating in a 10days Toxicology Risk Assessment training, hosted by Mbarara University of Science & Technology, Sponsored by Ace putor University of Port Harcourt. At KHI we believe that this is the time for Africa to raise and take action towards reducing toxicity levels in her environment, foods, medicines and water. As Africans, we have been exposed to too much unnecessary toxic substances in the foods we consume and the air we breathe, the toxicity levels of our water bodies are alarming!! Plastics have become a burden, daily exposure to high levels of organophosphates and hydrocarbons is soon becoming the normal even when we continue to register exponential curves of cancers and liver failures. Very sad indeed!
The time in now, let's raise awareness on irrational use of chemicals especially in food productionp, utilization of safety data sheets, proper disposal of toxic substances, not forgetting adherence to environmental protection regulations and policies in place. Together let's contribute towards building sustainable and resilient communities.
