BLOOM: Silence as Sanctuary Workshop
A Silent Spring Mini-Retreat · Held by the New Moon with Tina & Mimi

Join us for a half-day immersion designed to help you unplug from noise, release winter’s holding, and reset your nervous system as we cross the threshold into spring, held by the New Moon, a lunation of deep restoration, intuition, and renewal.

In a world that is productivity-driven and noisy, silence becomes your medicine. BLOOM is an invitation into a quiet refuge. Silence here is not rigid. It is warm. Spacious. Communal. A shared exhale.

You will move slowly through rest, breath + gentle movement, creative making, and quiet connection… contemplative practices that are supportive, nourishing, and unhurried.

BLOOM offers space to:
Unwind your system
Reconnect to inner rhythms
Seed intentions through presence

What you’ll experience:
🍃 A slow, spacious flow of practices you may move through intuitively -
🍃A grounding tea ceremony with fresh spring herbs
🍃Gentle movement to thaw and awaken the body
🍃Breathwork to invite vitality without force
🍃Yoga Nidra for deep nervous-system reset
🍃Quiet nooks for silence and rest
🍃A simple creative making practice with flowers + natural elements to anchor your intention
🍃Soft community connection — unhurried
You’ll be free to wander, linger, rest, or participate. Nothing is mandatory.

The feeling:
Sunlight through leaves (komorebi)
Warm tea in your hands
Flowers just beginning to open
A body that finally exhales

Bloom is for you if you’re craving:
A pause
A reset
Gentle renewal rather than transformation
A quiet re-entry into yourself and the season

Leave with:
A settled nervous system
A clear energetic reset
A sense of being quietly, deeply nourished

Silence begins upon arrival and is held through most of the retreat.
Silence is an offering; it’s collective but flexible
Silence allows the nervous system to rest more deeply and the day to unfold with less effort.

All are welcome.

$108. Discount for first 3 registrations.

As spring brings awakening and renewal to the earth, may it also bring the same to your practice. Take a moment to shed winter heaviness and rouse body and mind to this new season.

Root into the ground
Reach toward the sun
Bloom where you are planted

As the vernal equinox represents balance between dark and light, may it also bring the same to your life. Take a moment to discard what seems heavy, and prioritize something that you enjoy.

Release stagnation
Focus on what feeds you
Open your heart to joy

May spring serve as the catalyst to begin again if your practice has stalled, to revitalize your practice if it has become stale, or to cultivate a renewed commitment to nourish body and mind through yoga.

Our monthly New Moon Nidra + Live Music event – this month on Monday, March 16 at 7:30 - is offered as an invitation to turn your attention to beginnings and renew your creative energies.

Mark the new moon with guided meditation and yoga nidra, or ‘yogic sleep,’ a state or relaxation between wakefulness and sleep led by Tina and Stevie, accompanied by Nap Party, by candle light.

Dedicated to creating restful soundscapes that promote healing and reconnection, Nap Party is both an experience and a band from Grand Rapids. They create dreamscapes; one-of-a-kind songs without words, decorated with the soothing textures of violin, viola, accordion, guitar, hand pan percussion, and voices.

Sometimes we need an assist. That’s when props, and our instructors, come in clutch.

Feature Bolster / Blanket: A bolster and blanket may be used interchangeably. And may also be used in tandem! Both are helpful in supporting the body to alleviate tension, deepen relaxation, enhance alignment, and reduce strain, allowing you to hold a pose for longer and stretch deeper. They can assist you in making your practice safer and potentially more effective. Which do you use most; bolster, blanket, both?

Props can help bridge a gap, bring up the floor, aid stability, facilitate rest and ease. And your instructor can offer a hands on alignment when desired as well as teach us new and creative ways to use our props.

So grab that strap, a set of blocks, a bolster, a blanket, or all of the above. Position yourself near a wall. Turn up that “Yes Please” card for a hands on assist.

Because we believe that honoring your body looks different for every person, every day. And some days, we just need an assist

Sometimes we need an assist. That’s when props, and our instructors, come in clutch.

Props can help bridge a gap, bring up the floor, aid stability, facilitate rest and ease. And your instructor can offer a hands on assist when desired.

Feature: blocks. Blocks meet you where you are, offering three levels of height for accessibility, stability, and ease in a pose allowing for increased focus. Blocks offer support in so many ways, open possibilities, and can also be used to inform the body on proper technique and alignment.

So grab a set of blocks, that strap, a bolster, a blanket, or all of the above. Position yourself near a wall. Turn up that “Yes Please” card for a hands on assist.
