When I started using essential oils, I never thought it would introduce me into a whole new world of switching out toxins in my home. Insert: Thieves Household Cleaner and Glass spray bottle: Probably in my top ten most used and favored Young Living Products.
It never occurred to me that the cleaning products I used all my life could be harming my body and disrupting my hormones. It’s a bad sign when you have to lock these products up to protect our babies or heed warnings to use only in well ventilated spaces or call poison control if accidentally ingested or gets on your skin. Just google “cleaning supplies and health”. Many reputable sources come up (American Lung Association, Mayo Clinic, EWG) that lay out the toxic ingredients to avoid. There are safer choices out there, I prefer Young Living.
The uses pretty much seem endless for this plant-based Thieves cleaner that is so safe it literally tells you to DRINK WATER if accidentally ingested … from your all purpose surface cleaner, to the product that you can use to remove stains from clothes, to a carpet cleaner, to even a DIY jewelry cleaner. Some of my personal WOW moments are cleaning red lipstick and dog barf off my carpet. I use it on my counters, mirrors, sinks, tub all while making my house smell amazing.
