This week we celebrate Patient Access Week; we would like to take a moment to recognize, highlight and thank our Haak’u Health Care Patient Registration Team for the important work they do every day.

Patient Access plays a vital role in the healthcare experience. This team is responsible for the critical first steps in a patient’s journey— the check in process of our patients seen here at our clinic, verifying insurance, collecting accurate demographic information, consent forms, and warmly welcoming each patient. Their work helps ensure a smooth, efficient process and sets the foundation for quality care.

Our Patient Registration team is often the first point of contact for patients, and their professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail make a lasting impact. They help create a positive experience while supporting both patients and clinical staff behind the scenes.

Please join us in thanking the Patient Registration Team for their dedication and the essential role they play in delivering excellent care.

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month 💙

Every child deserves to grow up feeling safe, supported, and loved. This month is a reminder that protecting children is a shared responsibility, we all have a role to play in creating stronger, healthier communities.

Check in on the children and families around you. Offer support, listen without judgment, and speak up if something doesn’t seem right. Small actions can make a big difference.

Haak’u Health Center is proud to stand with families and communities to raise awareness, promote prevention, and support the well-being of every child.

Please stop by the health center on Friday, April 10th to read and learn how YOU can protect our children and grab a bag of goodies (while supplies last)!

Together, we can create a safer future for all children.

We’re making your visit smoother and more convenient!

Starting April 13, 2026, patients coming in for primary care appointments can skip the front desk lines and head directly to the primary care area for your appointments. One of our patient registration representatives will be there to assist you with the check-in process.

For all other clinic visits, please continue to check in at the front desk as usual.

Thank you for your cooperation as we improve your experience!

“National Doctors’ Day is a nationwide observance dedicated to honoring physicians for their expertise, responsibility, and continued commitment to patient care. Observed annually on March 30, it creates a natural point of recognition for the role doctors play in the health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities, often during critical and life-changing moments.”

We are grateful and fortunate for the exceptional care that Dr. Cox has been providing in our community! Her commitment to patient care and support of our clinical team does not go unnoticed and thank you for all you do!
