Since 1995 Star Medical Specialties has been educating patients on enteral feeding and specialty formulas.
Star Medical Specialties provides set-up/education service at time of discharge to various hospitals throughout Texas. We are a distributor of all formulas and equipment from top companies associated with enteral feeding or special nutritional needs, including thickeners, metabolics, additional protein, from pediatric through geriatric and the medical equipment associated with enteral feeding needs.
Working directly with Abbott, Applied Nutrition, Bright Beginnings, Covidien (producer of Kangaroo), Kate Farms, Moog (producer of Zevex), Mc-Key, Mead Johnson, Nature's One, Nestle, Nutricia, Corpak and many more companies has enabled us to provide the freshest products to our patients at competitive prices with quick delivery.
We have also become a point of contact for staff and participants of the Women, Infants, and Childrens program (WIC). We are an approved WIC drop ship vendor for Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and California. We ship Nationwide.
We currently accept Medicaid, Medicare, Aetna CHIPS, Aetna Medicaid, Amerigroup, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Cross Blue Shield Medicaid, Children’s Health Plan, Cook Children's Health Plan, Driscoll, El Paso HealthFirst, Medicaid TMHP, Molina Health Care, Parkland HealthFirst, Parkland KIDSfirst, Superior Health Plan, Texas Children’s Health Plan, Texas CSHCN, Tricare South Region, Tricare West Region, United Healthcare Community Plan, WIC, and private pay. Constantly, we are researching and adding more companies. We are happy to submit and verify insurance for our patients.

Currently we have territory managers able to provide discharge service/pump set-up/education to patients in the Dallas/Fort Worth and surrounding areas, San Antonio, Austin, Houston, McAllen and the Valley surrounding areas, and El Paso. We are constantly adding coverage areas.
