Closing out Plant Week with this one 💚

This plant has been a staple of the North Summit Clinic for over 30 years. Where we can't quite identify it, it is unique in that it rarely blooms. However, when it does, the flowers grow directly from the leaves and only open at night.

Dug up at Kent State University by retired therapist, Charlie Goold, LISW, many, many years ago, we've nurtured it along through the years. It can get quite gangly when it grows out but has certainly stood up to some heavy duty pruning.

We hope you enjoy this unique and interesting plant as much as we do! Many thanks to Marianne Oberg for keeping it watered and fed!

We have some serious green thumbs in our Billing Department 🌿

One team member shared their growing collection, including veggie plants started from seed just a few weeks ago. Think broccoli, peppers, tomatoes, and celery.

They also have a string of pearls that’s been thriving for about a year and keeps growing longer, plus a newer shamrock plant sitting in a tiny snail planter.

From garden starts to window favorites, it’s all growing strong 💚

"This little garden has become more than just a plant, it’s become a daily reminder 🙂
The plant was a beautiful birthday gift from someone I truly respect and appreciate.

Then came the frog, gifted by a work bestie because every garden needs a little personality and someone to make you smile. But the frog wasn’t meant to do life alone, so when ducks were being passed out (because at PPBH we’re all ducking awesome), it finally found a friend. Now they sit side by side, a simple reminder that none of us are meant to do this alone.

Seeing my little garden each day is a reminder that the smallest things can hold the biggest meaning. It’s about feeling appreciated, finding your people, and taking a moment to smile in the middle of a busy day. "
