Quiet Thoughts Matter Quiet Thoughts Matter is an organization that brings awareness and understanding to mental health.

Quiet Thoughts On A Canvas is hosting it’s first annual live painting charity auction titled “Embracing the Disorder” on Saturday, June 3rd at The Wildpitch Music Hall. The focus for this event is to bring awareness and understanding to mental illness through live painting. Our goal is to give a visual representation of mental illness that allows for people to think twice before judging those who suffer from a mental illness. We find that those who are not educated on mental illness will continue the stigmas associated with mental illness. It is imperative that others seek a clear understan0d and a different concept to the importance of mental health. Through the use of visual arts and conversation, we find this to be a friendly and health way to change the way mental illness is portrayed.

We are deeply honored and grateful.

Quiet Thoughts Matter’s Founder & Executive Director, Taylor Flinn, has been invited to serve as a Keynote Speaker for International Women’s Day 2026 hosted by the NAOO Women’s Empowerment Committee.

As an organization rooted in emotional wellness and youth empowerment, this opportunity aligns beautifully with our mission in supporting teens and young adults as they navigate life’s challenges with intention, confidence, and community.

Quiet Thoughts Matter had the opportunity to visit Silver Lake Elementary for after-school programming through and it was a meaningful, real-time learning experience.

We worked with students around identifying emotions and naming what they can do when they feel them. For some, it was challenging to understand that this space did not require perfection. Others found it hard to transition from station to station. And that was part of the learning.

Through Arts in Motion, students were invited to create based on the sounds they heard, using art and movement as tools for expression rather than outcome. They showed up, spoke up, and did an amazing job expressing themselves.

Opportunities like this matter. They allow young people to practice coping, flexibility, and emotional regulation in real time, within a supportive and creative environment.

If you have an after-school program and are interested in bringing arts-based emotional wellness programming to your students, we would love to connect. Please email us info@QuietThoughtsMatter.org

Still feeling the love from Alfred Moore Day 🤍

We’re incredibly grateful for every conversation, every familiar face from past events, and all the new connections we had the chance to make. It’s always special to see community show up again and again to honor legacy, creativity, and emotional wellness.

Thank you to for allowing us to create the space for emotional wellness. We look forward to seeing you all February 1st for Family Day, as we continue celebrating and honoring Alfred Moore. His exhibit will remain on view through February 15, so there’s still time to experience his work.

If you missed the panel discussion facilitated by our Executive Director Taylor Flinn, you can watch the replay on our page, Taylor Flinn.

Thank you for showing up, supporting, and sharing space with us. Until next time 🤍
