Getting ready for Ag Fest this weekend by scouring a couple pounds of Border Leicester and Shetland fleeces for the drum carder.

Our fiber art booth will have dying and carding wool activities for the kids and I’ll be giving our volunteers spinning lessons in between demos.

It’s not too late to join us! We could use one more volunteer, Sat 9-11am. Free entry into the festival is included. You’ll be glad you did. 🎉

The new crew…Wool Haven’s Shekel and Shilling. It’s an S year for names for the Babydolls and their dad’s name is Nickel. ❤️

Helping this first timer out with a little support for the lambs. And they both took to the bottle like a champ!

Not sure if they’re getting enough? One helpful method I’ve learned to do is weigh the lamb every 12 hours. If it’s not increasing by even an ounce or staying the same, they’re hungry.

It’s a ram year, but at least we have lambs! Two weeks ago we weren’t sure this girl was bred. Twin ram lambs have joined the flock. ♥️

A little slow to post, but we’ve been lambing for almost a week now. We had our first pair of Babydoll x Shetland cross ram lambs and we are in love! Can’t wait to see the fleece on this little guy.

We have cute sheep around here and they’re about to get cuter! Lambing season is coming and our lambs will be better acclimated this year, hopefully providing some great opportunities for sheep therapy in 2026! It’s a thing, and I’m 💯on board.

We’re all set up at the Black Sheep Gathering!

We show the Shetlands tomorrow around 9am and the Babydolls in the afternoon.

We broke our record hauling in 13 sheep and couldn’t be happier with our lambs this year. And yes, 13 is lucky!🍀

Another fun festival to check out.

The Fat Lamb Fiber Festival is a small fiber arts gathering held as a part of the historic Linn County Lamb & Wool Fair. The event is held annually during the third weekend in May in Scio, Oregon.
